I have this dream where I get to see every clincher the rest of the way, though I foolishly didn't make the trip down to DC Monday.
Yeah that would be pretty sick.

Though it's more likely you get screwed and the Phillies win the World Series and all you get to see is game 1 of the NLCS. That would suck. Hopefully that doesnt happen so I can be at that World Series game with you in a crowd of 50,000 running out to broad street.

I think Charlie set it up in the first round this way because if there is a game 5, Oswalt would pitch it. That being said, if they advance to the NLCS I wold think that Hamels would start game 2 with Oswalt starting game 3. This because if they were to go to game 7 Oswalt would be on the mound, and he is the guy I want on the mound.

...I really hope we aren't taking it to Game 5 and 7 in the NLDS/CS.

Scratch that, just got an e-mail offering WS Game 7 tickets. Hopefully we'll wrap it up in 5, but if it goes the distance I'll be there.

I just don't see the Yankees getting to the WS this season. I think it's going to be the Twins or Rangers.

I don't know much about the AL but I know the Yankees pitching beyond Sabathia stinks on ice and will get knocked around.

From your mouth to God's ear.

And a Lee v Halladay WS matchup would be as good a pitching duel as one could hope to see in this lifetime.

Who does this?

http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/blog/big...urn=mlb-273745

Someone called the Cincinnati health department on the Red's because they were smoking cigars in doors during their celebration for clinching...

Edit: i was more so questioning the person(s) who called this into the health board...

Rollins grand slam.

The Braves and the fans looked shell shocked after that.

When did the Phillies hire "special needs" pitchers?

96 wins. Most since '93 when they had 97. Let's make it 98 this year.

Would be kind of awesome if we denied the Braves the playoffs with half our roster playing.

I kinda want the Braves to limp in and get blown out in the NLDS. Whatever ends up with the easiest path out of the NL for the Phils = best scenario in my book.

Best Scenario:

Phillies drop one game to Atlanta. Padres sweep Giants. Monday the Padres and Giants play to decide the NL West Champs followed up by the loser of that game would have to play the Braves to decide the WC winner.

Records with this scenario:
Phillies: 97-65
Reds: 89-73/90-72/91-71
Braves: 91-71
Padres: 91-71
Giants: 91-71

Padres can't play Giants in first round and Phillies can't play Braves.

Honestly, I would love to keep Worley and get rid of Kendrick.

I want the same thing just so that there's a possibility of the Giants being out. Lincecum-Cain-Sanchez scares me. Nothing else in the NL really does.

Not to mention that it would cause two of the three teams to play their starters full out two more games, and the other team one more... Less rest and more chance of a lesser than would be lineup.

But that would only benefit the Phillies if the Braves lose the WCPO and the Philles end up playing either the Giants or Pods, and not the Reds who would be as rested as the Phillies.
