I have to lol at that Braves forum that was linked to earlier. Reminds me of dodgerblues. Just pathetic. Here's a nice quote from it:

I'm not surprised. We just can't get "lucky" as a team. Phillies aren't a better team, they have just done what it takes to win while Bobby just sat and watched.
IIRC even in 2008 Lidge did a tightrope walk in his saves, yet stayed perfect... He has gotten into a zone of late that has him pretty much in control. If he can again be a solid closer, they have a great shot in the postseason with the horses taking them deep into the game and the mid pen not being as much a factor as last year.
In my wildest imagination I never expected a sweep of the Braves here... I would have been elated with two and honestly felt that taking only one set them up in good shape going down the stretch... but then it would have been a tad dicey.
Now, they shoot for the League lead... which is pretty much all theirs at this point unless they swoon.
Welp, take 4 out of the next 6 and the last series doesn't matter. This team's comeback has been unreal. The Braves up to this series have played strong, and haven't given the Phillies many chances to make up games. IMO this turn around is greater than the runs in '07 and '08 just because the Braves had been playing so well up to this point whereas the Mets just completely feel flat on their faces.
It warrants repeating: The Phillies are everything the Eagles are not, and then some. These guys are winners. The arrogant douchers down the road... not so much.
This is beyond awesome. These guys are on a mission.

Actually, had the Mets not choked against the Braves last series, it would be all but over now... They rolled over like a ***** in heat.
Apparently Kendrick won't be skipped this time through after all, and will pitch Saturday to give the big 3, especially Halladay, an extra day of rest now.
Also, some of the Phillies players hate the rally towels and say it makes it hard to see on defense.
As stated repeatedly, I don't follow baseball closely. I've been keeping up with the standings though. For some time I thought Atlanta could give the Phillies a run for their money, but the Braves seem to have completely fallen apart.
Then again, smacking them down three times in a row on the way to a ten game winning streak should do the trick to keep them at bay.

I've often thought of that... it's a lot of white as a background.
Of course, it makes sense. It would be more of an advantage to clap during our defensive half-innings and use the towels when we're on offense (although getting fans to cooperate would be difficult). However, if it's determined that white towels cause a safety issue for fielders, they might come to an end altogether. I like the way they look, but the noise is awesome with or without them.

Not to mention it's almost strictly a disadvantage for the Phillies alone. When theres a routine fly ball or pop up the towels are waving like crazy when we're fielding but nobody is standing, cheering and waving their towels in that situation when the Phillies pop one up.
