There's a webcast scheduled for tonight's game at hockey**webcasts.com. I'm trying not to get too excited because the Ott-Pitts game had a link that never started its webcast. Though I can't remember if that was on the same site.

Hope Cowen ends Kadri

The stream actually begins an hour after the game starts, 8 pm eastern, on tape delay if any of you guys plan on catching it.

At what point is Jim O'brien officially classified as a bust? Does anyone think he has any kind of future with the sens?
On the bright side, the Butler/Hoffmann combo looks like it could be a big part of our future.

He can still make the NHL as a bottom-6, energy line forward.

You're right - jury's still out, but from what I've seen the guy is so mediocre it's not funny.

His straight line speed has improved. He was showing that the last couple of games. The problem for O'Brien is that he is awful at just about everything else. What further compounds his problems is that his new found speed makes things happen even more quickly for him, and I really do not think that his brain can process quickly enough.

I think he has potential to maybe be a 4th line grinder and a PK specialist, but even then, he'd still be a bust of a pick.

I'm not sure if a change of location would help him because I just don't see him having the ability to make the necessary steps to become a NHL talent.

He has wicked bad-ass hockey hair now though... way better than the bowl cut he sported when he was drafted. Can't go wrong - it all starts with the hair.

I've noticed - he looks improved to me, not saying he's going to make the NHL but he is still too young to give up on.

Some guys just take longer.....

It doesn't help that O'Brien sounds like he's got like a 7th grade education when he talks (hockey players aren't generally rocket scientists (unless you're Joe Juneau) but he sounds more brain dead than most). He's just a dumb, dumb kid.

He started college one year early because he got a scholarship to be an athlete.

You honestly believe that NCAA athletes on sports scholarships are in college because they qualify academically? That's not to say that all of these athletes are dumb but you can't say that an NCAA athlete isn't dumb just because he's in college.

In his defense he went a year early so he had to finish up high school a year early and take a lot of summer classes to do so.

Anyways as for the game... How are we supposed to compete with future hall of famers like Kadri, D'amigo and Aulie? It just doesn't seem fair.
