Puck Daddy Wild Season Preview

It took a while (it's also a couple days old), but there's finally a national season preview which is truthful, fair and has a good understanding of the team. It's not all sunshine and daisies (which given the issues the team has would be a bad approach) but at the same time gives an honest outlook and where the team can finish one way or the other. Plus they don't discuss how this is Mikko Koivu's first season as captain or have Owen Nolan on the roster. Thank you Puck Daddy!

I liked the preview but at the same time I can kinda tell he didn't watch a ton of Wild games last season. Just a few things he said made it seem like he was generalizing or 'guessing' about some of our players and style.

I'm probably just being a stickler because the Wild is the team I follow but I enjoyed most of the preview.

I love PuckDaddy though and it's the only blog I follow regularly.

There's some generalizing, but it's something to expect with a (bi)national slant. At least the generalizing is pretty accurate compared to "the Wild are rebuilding" or something along that line.

At least they don't have the Wild picking top 5 like the majority of the board over in other parts of this forum...

Not bad, but still a lot of softies on this team to where I wouldn't use the word "grit" per say.

Although I don't think so, maybe we're all delusional. Though I highly doubt it.

With that being said, if we don't make the playoffs, I want to finish dead last this year. Dead fu***** last. Zero point in being just good enough to pick tenth again.

I would have been almost as happy with Etem as I would have with Granlund and I think Etem went 29th. There's still great hockey players in the 10-15 range.

I don't think I can sit through that season unless we're talking about the next Gretzky.
