Rookie watch: Justin Shugg

Im a Canes fan from Canada..
Any word on how Justin Shugg has done in rookie camp?
I think he was a steal in the draft.. I remember reading this http://thejuniorreport.com/2010/06/2...sor-spitfires/ and getting excited about his potential.

Interesting to see how Windsor had him pencilled in as a major contributor and then dealt him to the majors. Wonder why they changed their minds?

He didn't embarrass himself during the conditioning camp, but didn't stand out either. I thought he looked AHL or ECHL bound.

Can't say in regards to the current tourney.

Windsor is going into a bit of a rebuild. They don't have the assets to make a third Memorial Cup run this season, yet so they are loading up on youth right now. Shugg was part of a deal that brought in some assets as well it gives Shugg a chance to be a leader on a Memorial Cup team this season. Good for all parties.
