Panthers vs. Predators Prospect Game Video and Pictures

Hey guys, got back from the prospect game just a few hours ago...I got some great footage of the entire game and I will have all 3 periods up soon for you all to watch. I actually got very lucky and won the Florida Panther's Foundation raffle that you got for the 5 $ donation! It was really my lucky day! Well, there was a big hit that happened towards the end of the third period that really reminded me of the Mike Richards/David Booth open ice collision that we all remember so well. The hit was by Florida Panther's prospect Chris Clackson on Nashville Predator's prospect Linus Klasen. This was an unfortunate event but it was noteworthy and I decided to upload this clip first because it was the easiest to find in between everything. I have the Clackson fight in the first period as well. I recorded all 3 periods and maybe missed 30 seconds of action during the whole game because I had to go redeem my prize from the raffle.

Video of Clackson/Klasen open ice collision :

However, that was the second time Chris Clackson drew blood during the game tonight. He got into a fight with Ryan Flynn early in the first period :

He definitely was noticed tonight....

Here is the entire game (I am uploading it and editing the thread as I get finished editing/uploading the video)

First Period 1/2 :

First Period 2/2 :

Second Period 1/2 :

Second Period 2/2 :

Third Period 1/2 :

Third Period 2/2 :

Shootout :

Here is what I won in the raffle :

I took my little brother to the game and he will get to ride the zamboni at the first preseason game! Here he is holding our new signed Erik Gudbranson puck!

Here is the unfortunate score at the end of the game :

More to come, Ill update the thread as I get done editing and uploading video...First Period action coming soon!

Yeah, it definitely was not good. It reminded me exactly of the booth hit except this was closer to the net and Klasen had shot the puck about a second before Clackson took him out.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that it might have been dirtier than the Booth hit. Richards had the common courtesy to at least not flail his elbow.

Yeah, I gotta agree with you. Clackson's hit was just pure viciousness.

That's unfortunate. Klasen is already 24 and had a very good year in the SEL last season. I hadn't seen him yet but apparently he has been very impressive during developmental/rookie camps and is/was a darkhorse to make the team out of camp. Apparently he has some real sick hands. Hopefully it's nothing to serious because if he isn't able to participate in the main camp I doubt he has any hope to even get close to making the team.

Just to let you guys know, if you are about to go to sleep, hold on just 20 more minutes...The first half of the first period is currently uploading to youtube. I will get the entire first period up by tonight, and have the second period, third period, and the shootout up by tomorrow afternoon!

I haven't been going to sleep much before 4 AM recently, but tonight I'm planning on turning in earlier. Will definitely be watching in the morning though as we get ready for Game 2.

Thanks Vektorious for the video!!!

Here is a fight between Florida's Chris Clackson and Nashville's Ryan Flynn. This would be the first time Clackson would draw blood tonight...He also drew blood on a nasty hit late in the third period...video at the top of the thread!

First half of the first period is uploading now...for some reason the first time I uploaded it, it failed while I was in the shower . So I had to restart it! Sorry guys! I am doing my best!!

Dirty, classless hit. Completely unacceptable and no part for that in the game. The guy had already gotten his shot off anyway when Clackson came flying through there with the headshot.

WOW! Watch at the 2:24 mark of the first period video. Clackson attempts to run Klasen there, but Linus moves out of the way and Clackson sticks his leg way out to hit him with a knee. That was what lead to Flynn vs. Clackson and I'm very disappointed now that the Preds didn't bring someone down to Florida with more experience in the pugilism department...

I can't see the video at work but I gotta say it makes me happy to not see anyone defending a dirty hit. You see it a lot where fans think their players can do no wrong and you guys rarely disappoint in calling out our guys when they need to be called out.

Just saying thanks.

horrible hit, there's absolutely no need for those in hockey, and especially not in friendly exhibition games! i hope tallon thinks twice before offering a contract....

I wish linus a quick recovery, and that he wont miss too much time a la booth for this hit

Clackson.... yikes

From where I was it looked like a clean hit. I guess it was because I thought #54 hit him. Definitely a dirty hit though. Reminds me of the Booth hit.
