Can we settle on 33? Now with 1/3 more skating!

But what if we can't settle? You know what word comes next.

Horcoff'll probably hit Cody in the face when he misses another open net though, so it's all good

It's a relief to see Hodgson looking relaxed in interviews, and it's great that we'll finally see him in a game. I'm not expecting much, given his long layoff. If his skating looks good and he takes a few hits without problems, I'll be pleased. Anything more than that would be a surprise.

That's interesting...
I think what that does it sees what tambaleeni can bring this year if he stays up....you know what he can do on the bottom linnes to a degree and the nyou get to see what he can do at the higher tempo of a top line.......ie finish
If it coems down to two guys for the 4th line and are similiar..then the guy who can switch up may get the nod.

As per above, you give hodgson some linemates with some skill...if he can carry a line then you get abetter idea of what he can bring...face it if he plays with the sedins you might not get a true idea if it is cody or the sedins.

Like to see Hodgson on that right-side for the Sedin PP unit.

It appears there is a Cody Hodgson related rift on the coaching staff :

Alain Vigneault last training camp when Hodgson was cut:
"I think Cody is a very young man who hasn't had a lot of disappointments throughout his life. He's probably having as tough time, personally, dealing with this one and trying to find a reason why it happened. We've all had times where we've encountered disappointment and tried to roll the [blame] in a different direction. We've all been through those things. Cody will learn from this."

Rick Bowness assessing Hodgson this camp:
"But when you've had a bad back, you just can't perform. You just can't get there. It holds you back. It obviously held him back last year."

Watching the Brampton highlights and the WJC, i think he almost always plays on the left half wall on the PP and most of his PP goals come from there. Don't see a reason to move him.

I'm excited to see how he plays. He seems noticably happier than any other time since last training camp.

I think thats what he meant as the Sedins usually line up on the right side and want a RH shot on the left, and I agree Cody has a good shot and good instincts, he might do well there.

I will bet he plays absolutely lights out tonight. I don't think his linemates will matter so much.

I think he will really be amped to show everyone what he's got when healthy, compared to what he showed this time last yr.

Because of the lack of activity over the last yr, there will likely be a drop off after this 1st game, but he should really make this game interesting to watch tonight.
