Thanks, that was a good article. It removes all doubt on where Drewiske will start the season. Murray's quotes all but show that theyve told Davis that he is Greene's replacement. Not that its much of a shock but I was surprised how open Murray was that the spot is Drewiske's. Its also nice to read that he has a good head on him and is ready to get out there and prove his worth. I'm rooting for him.
... I certainly support everything about Murray's decision here. Drewiske's still young, he still is able to learn and improve his level of ability in the NHL, and it's the logical choice. He wasn't as good as people were saying he was at the beginning of last season, and he wasn't as bad as people were saying he was at the end. The real truth was somewhere in between the two extremes, as it usually is; and with steady work and experience, Davis will be able to provide the 15-16 minutes of workmanlike defense per game. As long as the team doesn't ask too much from him, he will be fine.
