3-way rumor Bos-Edm-LA

Souray to Boston

Williams + pick to Edmonton

Savard to LA

wonder if this would be a good trade for the Bruins?

How the hell does Souray to Boston help their cap situation?

Personally, i don't like this for the Bruins. I'd rather keep Savard.

Is it just me, or do "3-way/multi-way" deals make up a much bigger proportion of trade rumors than they do of actual trades?

The only, and ONLY way this makes sense is if the Bruins really want no part of Savard and his concussions, and would rather risk two years of Souray VS the Savard contract.

LA might look at it as getting rid of an injury prone forward for a better injury prone forward.

Obviously Tambellini would be running circles trying to get this done if it were true.

Dare I say most unrealistic Eklund rumor ever?

Here's a fun experiment:

Press the back button on your browsers.
Click on the "Eklund" prefix in the thread title. That will show all the Eklund threads in the forums.
Now count how many of those rumors have come true.

That number isn't climbing very quickly, is it?

The only team that says yes is la

last thing edm needs is another small forward screaming hey I might be able to make your top 9

bos could do this trade but cogs would need to goto them and a dump not named Ryder comming back to edm with savard

this trade doesn't need la

Why the hell would boston get nothing more than Souray for Savard ? Especially when you know his value (Souray) is low because Edmonton probably wants to trade him, and because he is injury prone...

EDIT : Crap, forgot the post-concussion syndromes of Savard. o/

Pretty sure a guy with post-concussion syndrome is un-tradable right now.

Is this numbskull not aware of Savard being out with post concussion syndrome? What a surprise, yet another Eklund rumor that makes no sense whatsoever.

Why would L.A want a guy that can't play now and may never play again!

go one step further.

Count the amount of proposals that don't involve Canadian teams. That may be the only thing that is less then his % correct.

Yea, I was thinking about that recently. He doesn't have a lot of Jackets/Coyotes/Islanders rumors, does he?

More un-tradable than the guy making $5.4 million for the next two years, coming off a 37 game season, and who was told not to show up for training camp? Savard's injury is certainly a concern, but let's paint Souray as anything close to valuable at this point either.

Why wouldn't Edmonton just leave LA out of it, and take Savard for themselves?

I really don't see why Boston would even think about this.

When healthy, Savard is clearly better than Souray. As long as he is on LTIR, he's not really a problem for them either, and if he could never play again and would have to retire, they would get rid of any problem all together.

Idk... a) isn't Savvy having injury issues (yes)
b) I like sticking with our players in tough times (Bergeron's concussion problems, now Savvy too)
c) Souray could certainly help, but isn't he injury prone or something? Since he clears waivers with no problem, it seems like he has very little value, whereas Savard even injured SHOULD have more value. So couldn't the bruins technically ask for more?
d) Can Souray's offense offset the loss of Savvy's?

Personally I'd still much rather keep savvy, and have him retire a Bruin in 7 years... but that's just the kind of person I am. Loyal, Faithful, etc. idc if it's a business or whatev, it's also a game and entertainment

thats assuming the deal is revolving around Edmonton....

You could say the same thing for all 3 teams...why doesnt the Kings leave Edmonton out and just trade with Boson....

If this is really being discussed....there is a reason all 3 teams are involved....

However, thats a big if....

HUH?? Williams is by no means a small forward....and would most likely be your 2 or 3rd most accomplished player....How many players on Edmonton have scored 30+ goals multiple times....

He is making $4.5 million for each of the next two years. 5.4 is just the cap hit.

Kings GM Lombardi already hinted that he had no interest at all in Savard and no I don't think it was posturing or whatever.
