So when Gagne steps on the ice in Philly this year

Will fans be cheering?

Last year Niitty got a warm welcome back. I personally will be cheering. Guy gave us nothing but 110%, and I'll never forget his game 7 heroics against boston.

Before the games, Philly fans usually cheer "sucks!" after every player is called on the starting line for the opposing team. I hope I don't hear that this year.

what will YOU do?

Someone started a similar thread awhile ago. He'll obviously be cheered and, if the game is out of hand (in either direction), he'll get cheered if he scores a goal.

Not a chance you will hear that. He will get. Long lasting standing O from the crowd.

I'm trying to get tickets to one of the games he'll be at. I think one game is Oct 14 and the other is in November.

I'll cheer for Gagne ever chance I get.

No Olympic camp this year, so he'll be healthy to start the season.

In all seriousness, if I get to a TB game this year, I'll wear my Gagne jersey.

What has he done to deserve boos from the crowd?

Nothing.

But at the games, as they call the starting lineup, the fans traditionally shout "sucks!" after every players name.

anyone who boos Gagne I will personally slap in the head. and i hope after he retires he gets a night honoring him in some way. Not asking for a number retiring, just a night honoring for what he did and what he meant to this organization.

I'll cheer for him. Guy is a great hockey player I have nothing but respect for him. I wish him all the luck in the world.

Agreed. If Primeau got one for his 2000 and 2004 heroics, Gagne deserves one more so.

He's 10th all-time in points scored, and 9th all-time in goals scored.... without getting into a possible return down the road (who knows?).

I'll be relatively shocked if he doesn't get inducted into the Flyers HoF at some point down the road.

..and you know what Peter Forsberg said. I bet Pete would introduce him that night, along with Bill Clement.

Of course. It's not his fault he's gone. If he pulled some crap asking for money or something like that I'd boo him. (which I fear may happen with Giroux or Carter this offseason if either has a ridiculous year)

I'll be at the Lightning game, I'll be wearing my Gagne jersey, and I'll be cheering till my face falls off for him.

Gange always a Flyer.

I'll cheer. And boo Holmgren at the same time. I hope fans at the game do the same.

I'll cheer him at the beginning of the game, but any goals he scores I won't boo but I won't cheer either. I never lose sight of what jersey everyone's wearing, regardless of their circumstances.

People should also turn around and boo Holmgren to his face when Gagne scores.

If he gets booed I'll never defend Philly fans again.
