I prefer the blowout, sometimes my nerves can't take a shootout because either the Leafs do really well or pull a Stempniak.

"Wilson says he will ice no more than the league-mandated eight roster players for the first five games. Both defenceman Tomas Kaberle and No. 1 goaltender J-S Giguere, for example, will play in just one of the first five contests.

(The league criteria includes anyone who had played 30 NHL games the previous season, a goalie who dressed for 50 games or played in 30, a first-round draft pick or anyone who has played 100-plus big-league games in his career.)"

Most of Ottawa's top players won't be there.

Alfredsson, Spezza, Gonchar, Kovalev, Leclaire, Fisher, Phillips and Michalek will all sit out the first two preseason games in Toronto.

Anyone else excited to see what Mueller and D'Amigo can do in the upcoming pre-season games? I personally think that Mueller could be a dark horse to be our missing top-6 winger this year, in a faster Ryan Clowe mold.

I'd be very surprised if they werent. 99 percent sure we'll be able to find a live stream.

I may be making this up but I could swear they have a shootout after every pre-season game. A 7-0 blowout and a shootout win would be awesome.

I don't think you were paying much attention to previous preseasons. Only in the first year after the lockout were there shootouts after every preseason game no matter the score.

I think they did a few years back, namely when we were blown out by Philly, and Pat Quinn jotted down Domi's name on the shootout. who then proceeded to show us his sharpshooting moves

So I moved to Ottawa for college, (Algonquin) So from what I've read they won't broadcast this on sportsnet channel 27? Well guess that means what.. about 24-27 Leaf games unbroadcasted this year due to area restrictions

Looks like you'll be able to watch the first preseason game on Leafs TV Interactive for free if you live in the "Maple Leafs broadcast region. "

NOTES: Leafs coach Ron Wilson said he hopes to trim the roster down to 26 or 27 players by the end of the weekend.

You are right Rachelene, I remember now. My silly memory refused to go more than a year back until forced to for some reason.

ya i go to algonquin too, but the best thing you can do without spending money is just go on atdhe.net for every game, no you don't get sit back on your couch and relax, but at least your watching the game, and when they show the sens vs. leafs game on tv its even better!!

well, if he has a tv to connect to or his laptop screen is big enough, he could sit back and relax, just a suggestion though.
