Senators Pre-Season TV Schedule

I've tried to find it in other threads and on the Sens website, but no luck.

Do we know which games will be televised here in Ottawa?

If you have Bell Expressvu, it sounds like you might get the Leafs game on Sportsnet Ontario - note though that Sportsnet EAST (which is the Ottawa region) does not appear to be carrying the game (from Senschirp)

Sat Sep 25 - Canadiens@Senators = Rogers 22

Tue Sep 28 - Sabres@Senators (Dundas, ON) = TSN

Fri Oct 1 - Senators@Rangers = Center Ice

Looking at the SHAW line-up it shows as Ontario only. I don't know if it will have the regional blackout.

SNS is the Sportsnet 1 channel which will show the Sens.

Unlikely - it's preseason and they tend to only block out games when your living in the viewing territory of another team.

EDIT: BAH at the TSN games. I don't get TSN . And TSN games aren't on Center Ice either, which is b/s.

Thats what I thought, but was also wondering if "Sportsnet Sens" and "Sportsnet 1" are two separate channels, my guess is no but the description of Sportsnet Sens wasn't very clear on it.

The game tommorow night is on Sportsnet-Ontario. In the description on my dish, it says its available in Northern, Southern, and Central Ontario. You would think it would include the Ottawa region.

Doesn't seem like it'll even be worth watching those games. Bummer.

That's because Sportsnet East includes Ottawa; as it's surrounding area includes Habs territory, as stupid as that sounds.

It will be if you want to see the Sens' prospects.

Indeed. The early pre-season games are my favourite because you see more prospects and guys you rarely get to see. I only like seeing the big boys when I watch the regular season because they really love to float in the pre-season (I mean Christ, if you're as accomplished as some of the older players, why would you ever give it your all in the pre-season haha -- especially when you're old as ****!)

It's not supposed to be a prospects tourney, we already had that a while ago. Pre-season is meant to be the first time you see most of your team on the ice against true opponents. The Sens are really pushing their luck by going to TO with that lineup.

Agreed. I don't really care about seeing exhibition games with Alfie and Spezza and guys I see all year. I'm more interested in it if the new guys are in the lineup (Cowen, Wiercioch, Butler, Cowick etc.).

It's Toronto.

Even if you took out Elliot and Leclaire, started Lehner, we'd have a 50% chance to win.

Why? to have a bunch of prospects play against a bunch of other prospects in a meaningless pre season game that counts for nothing?

Yes. That's because the Sens have no motivation when they played cellar dwellars; all the more reason to give it to the rookies who want to prove themselves

This is how they will quickly weed out the prospects who deserve a longer look and the ones who don't. Personally the players I want to watch are the ones fighting for jobs, it certainly starts getting more interesting when the more worthy rookies start getting meshed into their prospective roles with veteran players.
