Kings TV Schedule Updated; *All 82 Games Televised Locally in HD*

Interesting notes: Bob and Jim will broadcast 2 Kings/Ducks games from Honda Center - first time ever. The Ducks (also for the first time) are doing their own telecasts of the Kings/Ducks games on KDOC. PrimeTicket is not doing those games, so FSN decided to send the Kings crew to do 2 of the 3 games at Honda Center. The only game where Kings fans have to put up with Hayward and Ahlers is the game on April 8th. Bob and Jim will do all 5 of the other telecasts.

FS West will air a special 30-minute “Kings Live: 2010-11 Season Preview Special” show. It will debut on Sunday, October 3, at 3:30 p.m. on FOX Sports West (immediately following Angels at Rangers). Re-air Dates/Times are as follows:

Monday 10/4 at 10 p.m. -- Tuesday 10/5 at 6:30 p.m. -- Wednesday 10/6 at 7:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. -- Friday 10/8 at 10 p.m. -- Saturday 10/9 at 6:30 p.m. and 11 p.m. You'll need Center Ice for those games (assuming the opposing team carries these games).

No more Canadian black-out! FSN is traveling to Canada. Eureka.

Here's the link to schedule PDF:

http://kings.nhl.com/v2/ext/team/1011TVschedule.pdf

5 games won't be televised locally that I can gather: 11/6 vs. Nashville, 12/18 @ Nashville, 12/29 @ Phoenix, 2/2 @ Edmonton and 3/9 @ Detroit.

Pretty cool stuff. Nice to see that we're only missing out on one game against a Canadian team which deviates from the norm of late. Can't complain.

of the 5 not on local TV, so far the Phoenix Game (FS-AZ); the Oilers game (Sports Net) and the Wings game (FS-D) are covered. It's all up to the Preds now to see to it that I get to see all 82 (including 11/20 in Boston )

Ch 13 will air 5 games this year, meaning that all 82 games will be televised locally.

Five Kings Games To Be Broadcast On KCOP-TV 13 As Club's 2010-11 TV Broadcast Schedule Increases To All 82 Games

Kings In Partnership With Fox Sports West To Air Five Total Contests On Channel 13 Beginning On November 6 Against Nashville

LOS ANGELES – The Los Angeles Kings in partnership with FOX Sports West will broadcast five games this season on KCOP-TV 13, Kings Vice President, Communications and Content Michael Altieri announced today.

With today’s announcement, all 82 Kings regular season games will be broadcast on TV this season.

“Along with our partners at FOX, we have been working toward the goal of televising all 82 Kings games this season to our fans locally and this announcement helps fulfill that goal,” said Kings President, Business Operations Luc Robitaille.

The following Kings games will be broadcast on KCOP-TV 13:

Saturday November 6, 2010 vs. Nashville - 7:00 p.m.– no post-game

Saturday December 18, 2010 @ Nashville 5:00 p.m.

Wednesday December 29, 2010 @ Phoenix 6:00 p.m.

Wednesday February 2, 2011 @ Edmonton 6:30 p.m.

Wednesday March 9, 2011 @ Detroit 4:30 p.m.

Long-time Kings TV broadcasters Bob Miller and Jim Fox will call the action, and Steven Dorfman will serve as the producer while Mike Hassan directs the telecasts.

At least the 5 games added to the schedule will be games Dish network customers can watch since they are on channel 13 locally.

FYI - no word on if the games on KCOP 13 will be in HD or not.

I wonder if CI will pick up those games or if we will be stuck with the other team's feed.

I like it. There is nothing worth watching on that channel so this can only help them.

If I were a betting man, Center ice will NOT pick up the games on channel 13 since they have no agreement with KCOP to rebroadcast their feed. They MAY pick up the SD feed only for the Nashville games because Nashville isn't televising them either. We'll see.

I want to say 1997-98 on KCAL 9. I remember watching a home game against Carolina in the hospital as I recovered from my awesome broken leg from a hockey fight during my senior year. I was so stoked that it was on KCAL 9 since the hospital wasn't piping cable into the rooms or anything.

Pretty sweet to be back on local broadcast television. While it's almost crazy to imagine not having dish/cable/fios, there is still a large portion of LA that rolls with broadcast tv only. Great way to gain more exposure while not being on a dumpy station like KDOC.

Last one I remember was the first game of the 98-99 season. It was against Edmonton and Blake destroyed Kovalenko with a hip check

mondays game on versus was the first one I got to see on my new 52" hd tv thanks to dish and fox, but watching it helped to decide that the 180 to get out of my contract is worth it and now I'm trying to decide between u-verse and direct

No HD which is kinda lame, but it's better than nothing. It can't be as bad as KDOC's awful SD quality.

Channel 13 ain't no beauty queen either. KDOC shows 70-80s re-runs and movies. Channel 13 shows 80-90 re-runs and movies. I just hope the quality is better than KDOC. Blurry hockey is better than no hockey.
