Every time I visit the leaf boards I hate the team more and more. I just saw what happened to Lee and went to see what the leafs were saying and it is probably the ugliest thing I seen on this forum for a while. They have a fight thread where people are saying that the head bounce was fun to watch.

I hope the Sens just manhandle the leafs and their top line today for that garbage.

Go Cowen - Karlsson!!!

The "A" tonight goes to Ruutu, Winchester and Shannon.....as reported on Sens Twitter.

I really just wish people would stop talking wins and losses in regards to pre-season games. It's more fun when you win obviously but all I'm really looking for in these games is player improvements since last season and how rookies come along and how they deal with the challenges.

It's still early but tonights game is much bigger than last nights for evaluating what kind of chances Cowen has. His demeanor, confidence and assertiveness will likely tell you everything you need to know.

To be fair, we've got guys here that would match the classlessness. Really just can't wait to watch 65 skate.

Your probably right.

I can't wait to see Karlsson stand next to Cowen, that's going to be rather entertaining.

NVM, just realized we signed David Hale as well in early august. Hale's a legitimate NHLer I thought though.

I hope so very much.

I honestly expected the Leafs to be turning it around a little this year and trying to back away from having a team full of goons and trying to get some wins but it seems Burke wants to keep that garbage around.

Lessard and Hale were signed in early August. Both would have to pass through waivers if they started with the team, so I think it's highly unlikely either (although I know people are only discussing Hale) make the team.

Why would both have to pass waivers to start with the team?

If they started with the team and got sent down after a game or whatever they'd have to pass through waivers, but I don't get how they'd have to pass waivers just to start with the team.

What do you guys think about tonight's line up, is this one stronger or weaker or just unexperienced.

Carkner and Campoli were basically replaced by Karlsson and Weir.

O'Brien-Bass-Lessard replaces Locke-Kelly-Neil
Ruttu replaces Keller
Regin replaces Spencer

And Elliot takes over Lehner.

I originally didn't think it was all that bad, but after watching the review, that should be a suspension or at least a fine. That was a dangerous and deliberate intent to injure. (which is an odd call, I know, because they were fighting)

That didn't look very brave.

Did you guys know that Phaneuf didn't get dangled by Foligno last night, he just didn't want to hurt him, so he let him skate right by?

McCabe Phaneuf, and Kaberle aren't playing tonight so I'm expecting the Leafs PP and overall team defense to be greatly improved. This is gonna be a tough game.

A really good preview of tonights game in the Senators/Leafs Ice Chips over at tsn. A little too much info on Elliot though.
