Campoli for Pyatt

Campoli could help the PP while Markov is out.
I like Pyatt but he's expendable.

Palushaj, Maxwell looked good yesterday. White could step in too.

I still remember all the gawd awful brainfarts of campoli.... particularly that game against Nashville, where he was practically assisting on the three goals against in the first 10 minutes.....

Wasn't that the game that Sens tied right at the end?
That game was super epic.

Did you just pick a number at random? Do you know how many dmen hit 40 points last year? 24, or less than one per team. The year before there were 28. Before that just 19. Yet you think Campoli can not just reach 40, but easily?

Sorry, MAYBE Campoli isn't terrible, but he isn't one of the top pick movers by any means.

I believe that's Brian Lee you're talking about

He had 9 goals, 34 points in his rookie season. He continues to find his game. With the right D pairing he could easaly get 40 points "not talking about Gonchar" Kuba could get him there. If he stays healthy

What are you talking about? He was a top pick mover for us.

All kidding aside, Campoli isn't as good or as bad as many are saying in here. He has offense to his game. He's a strong skater. He's sub-par in the corners and in front of the net. His hockey sense is OK on the defensive side of the puck and above average on the offensive side (he also can recover at times from some of his bad pinches.)

That said, his most consistent offensive season was his rookie year. Campoli is most capable when he's paired with someone who makes up for the weaknesses in his game.

It's a lot safer to peg him as a 30 point player. Regardless, I actually think he'll be better for the Sens than anyone they could obtain for him without adding to the pot.

Edit - Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the reason why you added him in the first place a shortage of d-men who could move the puck up the ice? If you don't have a puck mover who can step in if a man goes down, then I think Campoli would still be useful to hang on to as a #7.

Mitch

Campoli is only hated by other fans simply because we gave up a late first rounder for him...

He is a solid botom pairing offensive defenceman that can play spot duty in your top 4 and help play on your pp...

That was Alexandre Picard, who was traded to Carolina in the Cullen deal. Campoli has never had the sort of epic disaster game that Alexandre Picard is capable of.

If we did not have Staios, I would offer Moss or Glencross for Campoli

Huh. I guess I tried to black out that Picard ever existed, and blamed Campoli instead

When you play on and off, it's hard to keep your rythem going. He might not be able to play a full season again this year because of the strong defensive prospects kicking to play.

That was not Campoli, it was Picard. Even though he wore a Sens jersey, the other teams should have gotten too many men on the ice penalties when he was on.

yes brian lee has outplayed him through 2 preseason games (with campoli only playing in one), but even if lee beats out campoli for the 5th dman spot we need him for the lag between cowen's tryout and kuba returning.

2 games? Worst case Hale fills in (he's more than capable) best case Cowen stays

Chris campoli, 40 points? Did I miss the season where he got 30 points...or even half of 40?

Ottawa should keep him.
