The Oilers have to come out of this draft with an offensive player with their 1st. It's either that or bust IMO. Sure the scouts have been drafting NHL players the last few seasons, but for once they need to draft a guy that can step in sooner than later, and put the pucks in the net.

Goalies are always a crapshoot, as I'm sure a few years down the road one of the goalies taken in the 5th round will be a starter in the NHL. If it was up to me I'd save the 2nd rounder for a goalie, and if the scouts really think there is a can't miss goalie out there, then package somebody off with the Philly pick, that enables you to hopefully draft both teams needs.

I wouldn't like the pick of Dubnyk at 14, seem slike he'll still be around at 25.

Neither guy seems like an Oiler pick to me, but I've been surprised before recently by the EDM draft day decisions, and I'm sure this year will be no different.

Don't stress Guy

That's actually a combination of ISS/CSS rankings, not just one alone.

So that must mean ISS has him 3rd (no way he's above Ovechkin or Malkin). He's no.10 NA in the CSS rankings so ISS must have him way up to make that kind of difference.
