Jeez.

When you graduate from Concordia maybe you could venture off a bit

1. Drinkerie on Notre Dame (for dates)
2. Philemon in Old Port
3. Burgundy Lion is a regular hangout for me even though I don't particularly like it.

Hey Guys, I'm going to be in Montreal from Oct 19-21 to see the Habs/Redwings game. We're looking to go see a comedy show while we're in town but I can't find anything listed. Any decent Comedy Clubs you can recommend? We'll be staying close to the Bell Centre and St Catherine's. Thanks!

Is there anything big happening in Montreal for the Labour Day long weekend? Or are hotel rates just higher because of the long weekend?

Very likely. The only big thing happening that weekend that I know of is Arcade Fire at Parc Jean-Drapeau on the Saturday.

Festi-biere in Chambly, 15 minutes from Montréal... Hit this **** up if you have the incentive to make pointless investment in stomach ache. Chambly is a nice place with cool resto's and bars also when it closes.

Hey guys, going up to Montreal for the WJCs, probably going to stay at the Garden Inn in Centre-ville. Would this be a good area to stay in?

Would like to attend a game at the Bell Centre this season. Any local fans know if they allow DSLR cameras (removable lenses) inside the arena? Thanks in advance!

My band is looking to possibly play in montreal on November 12th or 14th. Does anyone know bars or promoters to help facilitate a show? We're a loud 6 piece spacey folk rock band...........

Already contacted divan orange which I had played before. They're booked up. Also contacted blue dog, petit
Campus, grumpys... Haven't heard back.

Any help would be appreciated.

You can't really find a place in montreal that doesn't have a regular input of anglo lineups. Hell, every french canadian musicians people I know almost exclusively do music in english (except rappers). If you can bring some people for your show I'm sure you'll get a date for your band whether its in english, french or zulu.

Parc de la Mauricie near shawinigan is a great place. While you are at it go get some great beer and food au Trou du diable

La Sala Rossa, Le "Ritz" P.D.B. (used to be Il Motore)

Quaie des brumes is also a good venue for small bands and it's a 15 minutes walk from where I live.
