Looks like Bowman, Nash, O'Sullivan and Sanguinetti are being given every chance to convince the coaches to keep them up. Are they the only 4 that have played in every game so far?

it might get evened out by tomorrow if Skinner, Dalpe and Boychuk are in the lineup....

That way each kid will play in back to back games, but naturally not three in a row.

and on the opposite end - Pitkanen is yet to play a single game.

Also, just to provide more than 20 minutes heads up this time, we ARE planning to have live streaming video of tonight's game online.

This is very good news for us out-of-towners!

Once the game starts there should be a link on the front page of hurricanes.com.

Its because he's that good

I do wonder what is up with that. Wonder if he's got some minor injury that they are keeping hush hush about.

I'll be at the game tonight as well.

Probably the last time we'll watch all the kids.

Next home game against Atlanta is likely to be played by "NHL only" roster.

Do the "*" in between the names signify something? Captaincy/Alternate Captaincy maybe?

Or is simply a copy and paste transition error?

Do they charge full prices for the tickets to these games?

Seems like AHL ticket prices would be more fair...

We need all the money we can get. After all, we're a struggling market because we can't sellout a preseason game against the Panther prospects

Yeah..but once again it's 93 in Raleigh and 55 in Winnipeg.

Oh wait..I meant it's 33.88 C in Raleigh and 12.77 C in Winnipeg.

To answer the question though..Yes..I believe the seats are full price. I did a quick look at ticketmaster and it appears that way to me. My guess is you can go and pick up an upper deck ticket for $5 from a scalper if there are any out there tonight and then after the 1st period, sit whereever you want.

Man, you'd think they'd discount them at least a little. They've gotta be losing money on these games.

There are all of, what, 5 middle-range NHL'ers on each squad?

When we went on Tuesday my buddy needed a ticket. He was given a free one from a Caniac in the parking lot! However, there were plenty of scalpers out if you want to go that route. I can't imagine they would be asking full price!

That was actually something I was debating the other night with Dmonk. Our solution: free admission to pre-season games... just jack up the price on the concessions.

That's lucky. I sat out there waiting for any Caniac to roll up with a couple of upper seats for like 30 minutes, and no one came along. Finally had to pay a scalper $25 total for two uppers with a face value of $20/each, and that was after a 5-minute long negotiation to get it down from $15/each.

Unfortunately, what matters to them is how many are trying to sell and buy. If there are a lot of sellers, you can get inside the arena cheap, but that night there weren't that many tickets to be had. Even the Box Office only had $25/each tickets left.

I think people are finally getting wise to the trade-in and so they don't go, but go to a game later in the season.

Honestly I'd rather they have them in places like Charlotte and Greensboro, to stoke fan interest in those areas. Why bother booking the RBC Center for a glorified scrimmage that isn't even telecast?

Personally, I like being able to see the kids play. If they were elsewhere, I wouldn't be able to go, and given that they (mostly) aren't telecast, I wouldn't be able to see them at all.

And they run the show there...ain't like they're paying any more rent on those games.

They don't have to pay rent, but they do have to hire staff, security, police, vendors, pay the utilities, insurance, and probably 100 other hidden costs of an event of that scale. No telling what the price tag is when you add up all that stuff.

IMO, it seems a little silly to do all of that for an event where you've already given out thousands of comped tickets and the prices are set at a level to discourage gate sales. From a business standpoint I don't see the "win" in hosting these games.
