Could very well be the case... I'm just speculating trying to explain his less than stellar camp.

That Skinner, Larose, and Jokinen line is making things happen every shift out there.

The burning question is, how do you adjust +/- to account for The Harrison Factor?

Give only Harrison a - when there's a goal scored with him on the ice, and a 2+ if you score with him on the ice.

But only if it could in the slightest possible way be blamed on Harrison, even if you have to jump through hoops or use the transitive property. We scapegoat, but we do it right dammit!

Might as well get used to this with the Canes having the softest team in the league possibly.

If it means we'd lose gritty, tough players like Aaron Ward, Josef Melichar, Wade Brookbank and Jay Harrison, bring on the softness.

So you're saying any guy with grit or toughness sucks?

Lol... where's your sense of humor, dude?

EDIT: On post game interview, Mo said that he wasn't going to name any names on who's played well or bad to avoid "boys losing sleep tonight". He did, however, mentioned that he thought Jay Harrison had a good strong game... Question is... did he said it just to let Harrison to have a good night sleep... I sincerely hope he didn't really think so.

Looks like roster will be cut to around 30 people tomorrow. It'd be really interesting to see.

While I don't find having a super soft team a laughing matter, my sense of humor is still out at the bar!

I'm saying that the players that JR picks up that fit that build, more often than not, suck. Why? Because, more often than not, the "tough, gritty players" that JR picks up are the leftovers after the rest of the league takes any talented ones away.

He will. Maurice said tonight that he's been impressed with O'Sullivan and he'll just get better once the roster is cut down and playing with more skilled players.

Onto the game:

Skinner has lost all nerves and looked damn good. I thought he really started to shine once he was moved to wing.

O'Sullivan is doing awesome. He's got himself a ticket to Finland.

Nash needs a year in the AHL. Bowman is looking pretty decent. Boychuk is trying and working hard, but damn he cannot stay on his feet.

Harrison and Babchuk should never ever be on the ice together ever again. BRUTAL

Sutter was Sutter.

And Ruutu made some kids nights by watching the game in 112 with Bellemore. Those kids were excited to have Ruutu sitting behind them watching. It was too cute.

And for someone who asked if Skinner is playing tomorrow night, according to Maurice he is. He went to the trainer room after the game, but at that time Maurice said he hasn't been told anything so he's playing as of now.

I was at the game, a few things I noticed:

Skinner is incredible, a step ahead of everyone else. A great passer, soft quick hands and very strong on the puck. Deceptive quickness and speed. Made 3 or 4 great goal mouth passes, great on the forecheck, and had a few chances to pot one himself. 50 goal potential for this kid.

Bowman looked very solid, and Sanguinetti looked okay.

Larose looked like he picked up some more puck confidence over the summer.

Boychuk was poor, Harrison was worse. Pogge made a few bad plays with the puck but was pretty solid in the actual goaltending aspect of the game.

My sentiments exactly.
In three games thus far, Mo has played him on the 3rd line once and the 4th line twice
Don't you want your best players playing on the same line.
I'd love to see Jokinen-Staal-Sully line, and watch the points roll on in.

I'm willing to cut him some slack.
He does put up some offensive points.
Harrison on the other hand

I don't know if you're being serious or not. But why? He plays one bad PRESEASON game and everybody jumps on him. He's only 20 years old.

two bad preseason games.. but i agree...

SVT has always been trigger happy around here.

Even if Boychuk has to spend another year in Charlotte, he still could become a solid 2 or 3 line player down the road.

P.S. you know what i wish would happen... Sergeant SVT to make a routine traffic stop for speeding only to find a drunk and high Mr. Cole and Mr. Harrison inside.. That will please him tremendously me thinks.

speaking of Kennedy...did anyone noticed how awkward his skating is? He just looked like he was always fighting his stride.
