Anyone notice how many 20-year-old goalies are suiting up in the 'Dub this season?
I wish the Hitmen had one of those 20 year old goalies - namely Martin Jones. lol.
I was very impressed with the Hitmen on Saturday vs the Warriors. Great team effort. Beach and Mackenzie were giants on the ice. The Power Play looked really good as well. Nice to finally have victory # 1 under their belts.

Something like 76, so another 10 still have to be let go with no team to play for.
That should be a boost to lower levels of hockey. In fact, Jeremy Boyer was just released by Saskatoon and went to Humboldt of the SJHL....in his first game he played on the first line and had 4 points.
Just shows how good the W is compared to the leagues below it. I mean, a 4th liner who couldnt make it in the WHL could very well likely lead the SJ in scoring. Lol.
I caught Regina Edmonton Friday night, Ashton looked awful but had a goal(17 seconds in,missed it) and a fight, Weal looked very dangerous and had a nice goal and always gained the offensive zone with ease, Abney looked disinterested for 95% of his shifts but in the 5% he looked like cared he scored a goal and levelled 2 players in one shift. St Croix also scored a beauty for Edmonton and looked crafty all night. I'm going to the Red Deer game on Wednesday very excited to see RNH...

Lucky, I won't get to see him til January

On a side note, don't be shocked if Marek Viedensky is among the top 5-10 scorers in the league this year. The guy is a beast and the Sharks should not have sent him back to the dub to play against boys. 8 points in 5 games and he has looked like a force.
Brad Ross 5GP 6+2 10PIM #43 pick this year, very interesting prospect
Ty Rattie 6GP 3+5 first rounder in 2011?
Ryan Johansen 3GP 1+5, this #4 pick is 2.0 PPG
Waiting for El Niño...
3 more assists for Ryan Nugent-Hopkins tonight in a 6-5 OT win in Regina.
That's 6 assists in the last two nights.
2 of those assists were beauties to boot. Petrovic was also a beast. Tough loss for the Pats they were really controlling the game until midway through the 3rd.
Both McColgan and Barrie will be back this weekend for the Rockets so we will see where this team is really at after those 3 weekend games. Also, they released overage Tyler Matheson today - not a surprise at all, he didnt play the first 3 games anyhow.
Things could change by the Oct. 14 deadline, but here goes:
Clark (PG)
Heemskerk (MJ)
Bosch (KAM)
Stanford (SAS)
DeSerres (BRN)
Reid (SPO)
Kuemper (RD)
Friesen (SC)
Gore (CWK...turns 20 on Oct. 22)
Matthews (KOO)
Curtis (POR...waived? Maybe?)
Waived: Hayes (BRN)
Besides Brandon and Saskatoon if I was team looking for a veteran backup for a memorial cup run I would definitely look at Reid. He is a really solid goaler playing on a very average Spokane team this year. I could see Kelowna or Medicine Hat take a chance on him.

RNH is a joy to watch thats forsure, finally lovin being Rebels season tiket holder again. He's best player on the ice nearly every game, even last year as a 16 year old. Look out for 16 year old dman Matt Dumba aswell when their there, hell of a player, throws some huge hits.
Should be a great game, too bad I can't even listen to it
If ur away to work, that suks man, but if ur lookin for a place to listen to it, 106.7 The Drive covers every Rebels game and streams live online on their website.

No I'm going out for supper for my GF's bday. And if I was going to listen, I would listen to my partner in crime Les Lazaruk on 92.9 The Bull....(I am the Blades colour guy )
