How crowded are the watch parties, usually? What time do you have to make it there to get a table?

the one thing that blows most about the idea of a watch party for the opener is that we ain't gonna find a place locally outside of San Diego County that'll have the CBC feed.

not being able to go somewhere and catch the Kings on Hockey Night In Canada makes me opt for just staying home and not spending any money.

Redondo Beach Cafe has the CBC feed. It won't be blacked out either. Whether they'll show that feed or not depends on who asks for it or whether or not the Kings are sponsoring a watch party there as I'm sure they'll prefer having the FSW feed on if that's the case.

RBC receives Canadian satellite feeds directly, so no issues with blackouts.

Hey, Joe Montegna was on Mark & Brian yesterday talking abut their new big HD TVs at his Chicago-style restaurant.

I bet by 7:00 all the college football games will be over and they would show the Kings game...?

I think it's called "Taste Chicago" or something like that and it's in Burbank.

Someone near there should go check it out.

Just a heads up RBC is having a McGill University Alumni Party (Saturday Oct. 9th 4:00 pm). Maybe it will be over by game time but, I showed up to watch a game last season during one of these and it was tough to watch the game. While the owners were great trying to keep people out of our way it was not a great way to watch a game.

This is a great place to watch hockey and I will be there Sunday to watch the game.
