I'm pretty sure Manchester's first game is Saturday, the 9th of October.. Isn't that the first day the season opens for us too? Either way, I don't understand why keeping Schenn and Clifford meant sending down Clune if Parse goes on IR?

This was my guess for the season opener before Clune was sent down:
Smyth-Kopitar-Brown
Richardson-Stoll-Williams
Poni-Handzus-Simmonds
Clifford-Schenn-Westgarth
Clune, Lewis (Spare)

Doughty-Mitchell
Johnson-Scuderi
Muzzin-Drewiske
Harrold (Spare)

Quick
Bernier

IR:
Parse
Greene

TM said 2 spare forwards and 1 spare defenseman.. With Clune gone, that gives us, hypothetically, Loktionov and Lewis as our 2 spare forwards, I don't see that happening. Maybe DL plans on getting someone off waivers and sending Loktionov back to Manchester, Michael Grabner perhaps? I really don't know what'll happen, I guess we'll figure it out today? Hopefully

If so, it wasn't a long stint, maybe a few games.

I swear some posters would have the Kings as a perrennial group of 18-24 year olds. There's already a push to trade away JMFJ.
Difference is I saw Lahoux and Aullin play and they could not even carry Loktionov's jock. Loktionov will be an NHL top 6 player whether its with the Kings or someone else. He may be already the best passer on the team. Unlike Purcell he does not need time and space to make the pass. His weakness is face offs and like many Euro's looks to make the pretty play to often. If there is no room for him to be a top 6 then he should go to Manchester but will be the first to get called up if one of them goes down.

Unless they get off to a great start Schenn and Clifford also need to go down when Parse gets back(If it is within 9 games). So adjust the 4th line between Clifford/Lewis/Schenn/Westgarth/Harrold and baring any injuries when Parse gets back move Richardson down. Richardson on the 4th line is best so we can use him on the PK and keeps the minutes spread out to keep everyone fresh.

I may be in the minority but I think LA could use Loktionov's skill more than Schenn's grit.
LA lacks a little in the creativity department. Our PP is solid but I think it could be that much better with Lokti making passes. I understand the arguement that we only really have a fourth line spot open for center and Schenn does fit that need a bit more. I like Stoll but I would not be apposed to trading him if possible to open up a slot for Loktionov. I'd love to see both stick with the Kings but that is unlikely this season.

And just like with you know who, there will be plenty of GM's willing to pay JJ that "obscene" salary.

It will be really unfortunate if the Kings lose JJ over salary.

After seeing how it's worked for the Hawks(Keith & Campbell), I don't see DL spending upwards of $12-13M on 2 defenseman. Being that Doughty is gonna get 6-6.5.

Per Hammond, Clune for sure to Manchester but he's not sure on Ersy. I hope hes traded so Jones doesn't have to go to the ECHL.

First of all why is it so bad if Jones goes to ECHL? Worked fine for Quick.

Secondly, after clearing waivers it is unlikely Ersberg will be traded. The most likely scnerio involves him going back over to Sweden with an agreement that the Kings continue to pay his salary for this season (see Huet).

I would guess EE is going to be loaned to a Swedish team.
There is a difference between clearing waivers and being sent to Manchester. As of right now Ersberg is still on Kings roster(as far as we know, paperwork may be filed with NHL office but we can't know that) and if he was traded right now would be on the other teams NHL roster as well.

Yeah I was thinking he was assigned already. Part of why I deleted my post, other than saying what you said.

Looks like as of now they all made it, we'll see if anything changes though. I mean why give them legit numbers and opening day equipment if your gonna send them down the next day?

If management is still iffy on who they want to keep/send down, they would give them all the equipment and numbers until they make their decision. I guess we'll see, but it seems like all of them have made it, at least until Parse comes back and/or they've played their 9 games.

I'd sort of rather have Jones in the ECHL so that he gets a lot more playing time than being Zatkoff's backup in Manchester.. We'll see what happens

Big deal. If say Lewis and Loki sit a game out, what's the big deal? I bet that the lines change from game to game as they further evaluate who to keep when Parse returns.

Harrold may be the one to sit, so they can rotate the kids and figure out which ones they're keeping.

Huh?

Kings have 5 guys and only 3 spots on the 4th line. So 2 are sitting...

On defense, only 1 needs to sit.

This is just weird...opening nite Schenn and Lewis could be sitting in the box or Loktionov or Clifford...

Why not just get rid of one kid and keep Lewis and Harrold as the only healthy scratches...They will have two sitting when Parse comes back anyways...

It will be Westgarth-????-Richardson on the 4th line when Parse comes back....
