Muzzin brings a different skill set than Fransson. That's why he's still around.

You couldn't have both Frannsson and Hickey make the team. They're both PMDs. It was one or the other.

I don't believe we'll lose him. Fingers crossed!

BTW, Hugh Jessiman is also on waivers. We could get him and stick him in Ontario, just for laughs!

Willsie is also on waivers.

I was a bit surprised to see Montoya on there. I guess he's officially a bust now.

HA! As is Al Montoya. Those NYR sure know how to pick them! I remember when they were touting Montoya as the next amazing goalie. Kind of surprised to see Hensick on the list for STL.

Cliche is only on waivers because he has to go through to be sent down, correct?

Is it me, or does it seem that Montoya is only good against us?

So let me see, left on D is...

Doughty, Johnson, Mitchell, Scuderi, Drewiske, Hickey, Muzzin, and Harrold(if he counts). That's 8. Either 1 more cut is going to be made, or Harrold will be playing as an extra on offense. My guess is there will be 1 more cut on defense(unless we decide to carry 8 defenseman)...which will most likely be Muzzin.

Mitchell-Doughty
Johnson-Scuderi
Hickey-Drewiske
Harrold
?

He's on a two way contract.

There's no correlation between waivers and two-way contracts.

That only means he gets paid less when he is in Manchester.

Wait a minute......

........wasn't Cliche supposed to be injured? Are injured guys even allowed to go through waivers? Shouldn't there be an exemption?

In additionn to the four roster cuts, Marc-Andre Cliche will be headed to Manchester if he clears waivers.
I think he has to clear waivers to get to Manchester, which I don't really understand since he's on a 2-way contract hm..

One and two-way contracts have ABSOLUTELY NOTHING to do with waiver eligibility. All they specify is what they get paid at each level.

Parse is also now hurt with a groin injury, Richardson is taking his spot on the LW.. I'd much rather see Loktionov there and keep Richardson on the 4th line..

Smyth-Kopitar-Brown
Loktionov-Stoll-Williams
Poni-Handzus-Simmonds
Richardson-Schenn-Lewis
Westgarth, Clune

Doughty-Mitchell
Johnson-Scuderi
Drewiske-Hickey
Harrold

Quick
Bernier

Clifford back to Barrie
Zeiler, Muzzin to Manchester
Ersberg will get dealt or get picked up on waivers.. If he goes to Manchester though, expect Martin Jones to go to Ontario and basically start every game there

Am I missing anyone?

Yeah your missing the fact that our 4th line will not be Richardson, Schenn and Lewis!

Westgarth will def be there and possibly Clune if Lewis the center, they can rotate and Richie moves to center.

Also Richardson has been playing in that 2nd line spot, so if anything the 4th line while Parse is out is...

Clune/Clifford-Lewis/Schenn-Wesgarth

Murray's pretty much said Westgarth has a spot. I don't get why people keep ignoring that.

Exactly. What is people's problem. This board makes my head hurt sometimes. I post quotes from Murray, Lombardi and people still keep posting cream puff 4th lines.

Westgarth will be an everyday player on the 4th line at least most games....So any 4th line proposal has him and Richardson (when Parse comes back).

The battle is for the center spot between Lewis/Schenn and the spare forward Clifford, Clune, Zeiler who can rotate in or play over the center and move Richie back to center.

So stop with the Lewis-Schenn-Richie...IT AIN'T HAPPENING.

Westy-Lewis/Schenn-Richie is how it will be.

Are you a dumb little kid?

Murray said Westgarth will be an everyday player. Enough said.

Westgarth is on the fourth line, that's a borderline lock. Clune has a solid shot. Lewis and Richardson they like their experience and versatility.

Murray said he does not want to confuse Schenn or Loktionov, they are centers, period. That precludes their both making the roster and likely means neither guy will be there.

Exactly. The only thing I see maybe happening Schenn on the 4th line because he can play LW too...but it's either going to be him or Lewis...

I still think Schenn is better suited for next year when Poni, Handzus and Williams walk....that leaves 3 open spots in the top 9 forwards.

Keeping a guy like Lewis gives TM the flexibility to rotate in a guy like Clune without ruining this development...you rotate Schenn in and out and that hurts.

Don't worry.

In the playoffs our 4th line will be something like Richardson- Schenn- Lewis. When the real hockey starts and teams can't afford to waste a roster spot.

The best hockey last year was the Olympics and the playoffs, when oddly enough there aren't many (if any) goons playing.
