Names on the back of shirts mean nothing. I got the Rangers winning 4-1. Gotta want it, and if the Devils proved anything in the playoffs last year, that roster doesn't.

Sore knee . . . http://blogs.northjersey.com/blogs/rangerrants/

Vinny Prospal did not skate this morning and will not play either tonight against the Devils or tomorrow afternoon at Detroit because of a sore right knee, the same knee Prospal had arthroscopic surgery on in late December.

He has more enthusiasm after scoring a goal than anyone else on the team. I mean, look at gaborik...I love the guy but when he scores I swear he just says 'heh'.

He'll get time in the top 6 in the AHL this year most likely with Tedenby and should be ready to compete for that 3rd line spot next season.
thank you very much for the answer.

When you score as easily as Gaborik is able, it must get boring!

Yeah, I usually don't care if we win, but for the first time, I really want us to win a preseason game. Because of the cries of the Devil fans last time. It would be fun watching Hartford third liners score on their vaunted first line.

Sure beats Naslund. Ill never forget someones quote from right here on HFboards.

"Naslund celebrates a goal like his dog just died"

Obviously some of the other players have made it past this group of cuts:
Gaborik
Dubinsky
Stepan
McDonagh
Sauer
etc.

If they weren't they would most likely be given the chance tonight to play and get the important minutes. To me its a great thing the Devils are icing a lot of their NHL players. Easier to evaluate who is ready and who should be kept around for a little while longer.
I think thats really the line of thinking with Torts and the management in general. They're throwing out a very powerful offense, lets put our D men trying to make the cut against them and see what they've got against top tier NHL competition. Its better to find out now while the games don't mean too much.

I hope to see Valentenko step it up and put himself solidly into the conversation.

Just walked by Dubinsky and Christensen walking to the game. Dubi had gold dress shoes on I should have taken a picture haha. I said hello and wishes dubi a good season he seemed quiet and shy. I should have asked him about hockeys future board and his user name. Oh well

Some guys just subscribe to the "act like you've been there" theory. Not everyone is Vinny or Ovechkin.

"Letourneau-Leblond is in Devils' lineup tonight. Boogaard said this morning he "wouldn't mind" wrapping up Thursday's unfinished business."

Torts may be a clown, but he's got nothing on your standup comedy act.
