And Tom Pyatt = faster Ryan White.

Seriously, I love them both. And I wouldn't mind having them both on the team in the next little while. Think of how good they would be on the PK. And we wouldn't have to use our stars on the PK as much (Gionta, Gomez, Plekanec), if they are on the team. White, Pyatt, Lapierre, and 1 of Halpern or Boyd could PK.

As much as I like him.. I seriously wouldn't mind getting rid of Moen..

I noticed that as well, like you I'm not saying he's going to be as good as Forsberg. I did see a lot of similarities in their style of play.

The forsberg comparison is JUSTIFIED... i cant even think of another player who i can compare eller with, (maaaaybe marian hossa) especialy after watching him circle around inside ottawas zone, cool calm and collected until he could find the RIGHT pass instead of just panicking and losing it

ive seen forsberg do that a thousand times. and i like it. if eller turns out to be a poor mans forsberg, were golden, because there will never be another forsberg. (only a bergfors! :/)

I wasn't saying that, but it shows who Martin wants to get a good look at for the #7.

Though at this point, O'Byrne may be on the outside looking in if Carle and Picard continue to play well.

It would seem you are not the only one But yes I agree 110% Just at the third Eller just gave me that flash I was looking for, made my night, he was a mirror image of Forsberg, I'm not saying expect 140 points from this guy but I can definitely see why St.Louis was so high on him, said he was better than Berglund, and why they were so upset to see him go. This guy is a gem, hes something special, and he will be an exciting player to watch.

Good to hear, and makes sense why the Habs moved Desjardins as Mayer needs to play.

Eller is like some sort of war vehicle with armour and guns mounted on it that can go over all kinds of terrain. Like an off-roading armour gun vehicle? I'm sure there's a word for it, I'm just blanking on it right now.

Haha, fair enough.

Though, I don't hate MAB like most. He frustrated me, but without him, we wouldn't have been in the playoffs last year, IMO. He brought a lot of happy moments for us, as far as I'm concerned.

Hey guys, was at the game tonight. My impressions are not that different from yours, but here it goes.

PK - Typical PK, which is to say best D on the ice, everywhere on the ice, takes over games, competes every second. When you have a guy with that much talent who competes as hard as he does you get greatness.

Eller - Kid is soooo strong on his skates, very hard to knock off the puck, very very high hockey IQ, has the potential to be a huge star. Did not look out of place on the 1st line, specially after the first couple shifts.

Boyd - Man he is faaaaaast. Perfect 3rd or 4th line centre, good player on both ends of the ice and on the PK. Pleks will not need to play 3mins a game on the PK.

Carle - I thought he played a really strong game. Good first pass, smart player, good skater. Looked better than O'byrne out there.

White - I love this kid, brings energy every shift, finishes his checks, goes to the net, sticks up for his line mates. I fail to see why Moen deservers a roster spot over White of salary cap was not an issue.

Mayer - So THAT is why we traded Desjardins, I get it.

How did Schultz do ? Did he just get into that fight, take a lazy penalty and that was pretty much it, or was he bangin' bodies as well ?
