I need a freeze frame of that. Bob doing the splits to cover a puck and Rinaldo in the background defending himself after laying a dude out.

I wouldn't have minded seeing Rinaldo trying to hold his own against Bagnell.

Preseason or not, you wouldn't necessarily see Gustafsson PKing with our top defenseman of the night.

It's showing a faith in his abilities, particularly because I haven't seen much of Gustafsson to suggest that he's particularly good defensively.

Is Holmgren testing the waters? Of course he is, but he could've gotten a harder look at Lehtivuori or Bartulis or even Walker who is competing for a job in theory.

Again, you seem more concerned with arguing with me as opposed to making a point.
Actually, I do expect it. You know why? Because it's pre-season.

You just said twice that it was a "huge vote of confidence," and it's me that's making it a big deal out of it. I say it's not, so it's just making an argument just to argue. I've got better things to do, and this game isn't even my top priority right now. Walker and Bartulis were out there earlier in the game as well. So was Lehtivouri.

I think you're not used to it because Stevens played very few of these guys.

The only thing it means is that they worked on it in practice, and they want to see him against guys wearing green and red instead of orange and black.

I guess he came out too far to cover the puck, or covered it with out a shot on net. Either can be penalties, ask me how I know, lol.

Ugh just got home, has Guerin really been this bad? My first observation is him trying a behind the back pass in the neutral zone...right to a Wild player.

Not sure about that delay of game call

Pretty sure there is an imaginary box that extends from the goalline up to the top of the circles and across. When Bob covered that puck, he got it before the top of the circles, at least thats what it looked like, and there was pressure on him. Not sure why he was called for delay of game

Wellwood looks like he has a little shiftiness just waiting to break loose. That was pretty cool. Shame it didn't amount to anything.

Nah. I read recently it in a cigar magazine. I thought that was "interesting." His real name is Jonathan Goldsmith (something like that).
