Gilroy needs to be a forward. He plays much like a winger.. he can replace someone on a 3rd line easily.

The Rangers also need practice getting into the zone while on the power play. I'm getting pissed watching their failed dump-and-chase attempts.

This is his second preseason. No trend has been established yet.

Having Girardi trying to start the rush on the PP is a pretty awful idea.

I can't say I want White on the team just yet, but I'm liking his defensive play.

I think Avery just found his man in Holmstrom. This should be entertaining.

No need for him IMO. Unless he finds some of the magic he had in his glory days, but I think he's worn out.

Absolutely not. We have many better options for 3rd line wingers than an undersized, non-physical guy who's been playing defense the past few years. If he doesn't make this team as a 5-6 D, he'll be playing D in Hartford or traded. End of story.

Sauer is so obviously better defensively then Gilroy.

Sauer has to get the 6th spot.

Staal. Girardi
Del Zotto. Rozsival
McDonagh. Sauer
Semenov

some of these passes these guys are making the powerplay - look like they think they're playing NHL 11 on rookie level

This is why Girardi's presence in this lineup bothers me a bit. Would love to see Gilroy and Sauer develop. We have already seen Girardi's talent top out.
