I don't know what Nedierriter said but Cammelleri swiped him in the face with his stick and then went back to hack his ankle. Just saw the highlight on HNiC.

I am really wondering what is so irritating about this guy.
He was agitating people at the WJCs last year too.

Here's the video for anyone who missed it:

I hope Cammalleri isn't suspended long, I need him on my LW in fantasy.

Hab fans are defending it as reaction to an elbow to the head. I'd like to see the video of that part of the incident. Either way, Cammy acted like an enraged school boy with a new weapon. The attempted slash in the face was disturbing behavior....

Panthers have waived Michael Grabner.

Boy, I wouldn't mind the Sabres taking a look at Grabner........but then again, we don't exactly have the roster space for him.....

If someone should take him, it's the Leafs. They could use him and see if he can handle second line minutes instead of CMac.

Anyone else watching the Carolina vs SKA game tomorrow?
SKA is the team that Grebeshkov, Nabokov, and our own Afinogenov went to.
It will be streamed on NHL.com here at 11AM.

Well it doesn't sound like Beninati to me and I doubt that ATL commentator would be that pumped for a goal against.

Byfuglien is back on defense with the Thrashers.

http://tsn.ca/nhl/story/?id=336369

Quote:
Byfuglien said that he couldn't be happier with the change, although on the surface it's somewhat baffling after the way he had used his speed and size so well at forward. He scored five game-winning goals during the Blackhawks' run to the Stanley Cup.

Thrashers general manager Rick Dudley talked to Byfuglien about the potential return to defence as soon as the trade was made and Ramsey, who wants his defenceman to contribute to the offence by joining the rush, signed off on the switch before the start of training camp.

"We'd like to see Buff play defence," Ramsey said. "We think he can do it. I think he can bring something to the table."

Ryan Parent is on waivers. I haven't really followed Nashville, but he's a guy that I thought had great potential. How does he compare to our current flunkies on D?

He was traded to Vancouver with Jonas Andersson from Nashville for Shane O'Brien and Dan Gendur today.

Didn't notice that.

The Rangers are probably trying to go after him with their moves today.

Edit: Nevermind, Sather says he isn't interested in anyone on waivers today.
I'm guessing he'll be picked up by NYI then.

Zubrus has become a cap casualty. The Devils have apparently waived him.

Peters traded for Hordichuck. Evidently this saves some cap space because Peters is on a two way deal.
