Mahan chunks it now and he had a clean lie. How do you miss that?

Pretty good showing by the Americans all things considered.

That collapse in the 2 foursome matches and 4 fourballs yesterday did them in. What went from looking like they were set up for a nice win put them in too big of a hole to overcome. They certainly made it exciting though.

It's still weird to hear "EUROPE! EUROPE! EUROPE!" chants. Sounds so cheesy. Better than the "Ole" chants though, I guess?

Wales is beautiful by the way.

Unreal how close the Europeans cut that. What a great event. I still can't believe Monty took Padraig Harrington over Paul Casey, if Casey's on that team it isn't close.

At the very start of the telecast this morning in the stands at the first tee there was Canadian hockey jersey.

You guys are everywhere.

Must have been a blast for that hockey fan to segway from the Ryder Cup into the start of the NHL.

I know they're opponents in the Prez Cup but am I the only one who thinks the U.S. Ryder Cup team should be expanded to include Canadian players?

I think it makes sense although I'm sure the PGA doesn't want to change up the format for the potential of what, one Canadian maybe, max?

I'm not sure they'd be too keen on calling it North America when it most likely would still be all Americans.

It would make sense, since the current format is a continent vs a country..but I don't believe that any Canadian players would make the team. The best ranked Canadian player is Stephen Ames at #91 in the world.

Yeah he really gave that point away.

But Team USA blew this yesterday. To go from up 6 - 4 to down 6 1/2 - 9 1/2 was the culprit and that was a collective collapse by the whole team. Guys like Mickelson, Woods and D. Johnson found their games too late. Guys like Watson never found it. They went from setting themselves up for a fairly easy closeout for victory today to needing a comeback.

All things considered they did really well. They were at a huge course/fan disadvantage obviously and the weather definitely favored the Europeans as well. Throw in yesterday's collapse and they final score is a pretty good result.

So, Tiger shot like 9 under in 15 holes today? Gives me hope for the 2011 season.

I think that would happen if there is somehow an influx of incredible Canadian players on tour. Right now there is only two anyone is aware of, that's not enough. Canada needs to make a case that they have reason to be represented at the Ryder Cup.

Yeah currently I realize it might not make much sense in practice, but to me, in theory, it's a solid idea.

It could be pretty embarrassing for Canada actually, if Canada were included only to exclude itself by not having anyone qualify.

Meh - another discussion for another time.

One hell of a great finish to this one, for sure.

Woods was their best player along with Stricker. They didn't even play that bad in the match they lost, Westwood and Donald were just unreal. Matt Kuchar was the real disappointment for the U.S. side IMO, for as great as he has played all year he just didn't have the goods for this week.

Hunter Mahan is kind of left holding the bag after what happened on 17, but Cink is going to be the one who is sitting up all night for the next 2 years

Not to mention Cink is a vet and Fowler is a rookie who nobody expected nothing from.

Thats not what I was referring to:

Fowler cost the US a half a point on saturday by dropping the wrong ball during foursomes.
