Ryan Miller is not on the ice at practice this morning.
Kaleta is getting some work in with the Nieds/McCormick/Ellis line
Grier is in a non-contact jersey

Miller didn't practice. He's out. Sekera didn't skate this morning. WTF? Is this 2005-2006, knock us out of the playoffs edition?

Hopefully Sekera just getting a rest. I seem to remember him getting hit hard into the boards at one point.

Yeah. The hit you're talking about was when that DB Jokinen boarded Sekera and only got a two-minute minor for it . Hopefully, he's just recuperating like you said.

This times a million. They cannot lose Rej's ability to eat minutes. Just can't.

Yeah he took some pretty big bumps both Saturday night and yesterday. I remember him laboring on more than one occasion over the weekend. Hopefully he's ready to go tomorrow.

Ugh , Miller injury isnt that bad considering how well Enroth has played and should be back before the playoffs , but the other injuries are really hurting us

Miller had a light work out today. Ruff confirmed Enroth as starting Tuesday.

Enroth will not withstand a seven-game series where the opponent has time to figure you out, I believe. He's too raw for that. Ryan has to get healthy for us to have a shot.
Plus, playoffs are far from a lock yet. We lose to Tampa in regulation and everything is wide open. I'm assuming he plays Friday.

Since he's not even on the ice in any non-contact drills, no idea at this point.

Just to put it into perspective...

Vanek-Hecht-Pominville
Ennis-Connolly-Stafford
Gerbe-Goose-Boyes
Neids-McCormick-Grier
Kaleta

Butler-Myers
Leopold-Montador
Sekera-Weber
Morrison

Miller
Enroth

And that's not even taking Roy into consideration...

I think you're more likely to see VCP stay together. They've been playing really, really well.

This morning's updates from Ruff:

Kaleta: first full practice yesterday, feeling better...should be ready to go this weekend
Miller: going through his first full-practice today...feeling better, could be ready to go for a game this weekend
Grier: his knee is still bugging him...cant take it to 100%...no real timetable
Hecht: still unavailable to the team...wont say what the injury is still but it screams concussion
Leopold: seeing a second specialist today...wont be available until at least 2nd round
Roy: ramping up his workouts every day...wont be available until at least 2nd round

Agreed, Enroth has been great for us but as you said, he's still very raw. I do not like our chances at all if we're going into the playoffs with him as the starter.

Hurray for PK and Miller. Huge bummer on Hecht and Leo, though. I really hope it's not a concussion for Hecht.

Read on the Sportsnet ticker that Jochen Hecht is out for the remainder of the season. Didn't specify if that includes play-offs or not.

So we don't have Hecht in the playoffs for the second year in a row? Oh come on.

So Kaleta has been declared a full go. Personally, I'd hold him out of the next one just for that extra day and let him get up to speed against the Jackets. Excited he's back though!

Yeah I saw that too. Was it Roger's Sportsnet by any chance?
If so, they also had him listed as a RW too so I don't know how sure they are about it. Hopefully not that serious though.

I agree. I think you gotta stick with the lineup that is working to clinch the playoff spot.

Letting him unleash hell on the Jackets should be ample time to get him back to form....

Same thing if Grier is able to come back.

I guess Leo is progressing faster than expected, hearing mid first round now.....

I wouldnt be surprised if Hecht is done for the season, dont want to mess with it if its a concussion.

Miller will probably play against the Jackets.

I think we can take Miller off this list after him jumping in and playing yesterday.
