Cut Darche or Halpern, but let play White with Moen for the year.

I would assume that is their opinion. I doubt Jacques Martin made the decision just like that, making sure a radio station knew before anyone else.

That's exactly what I was gonna say. I doubt JM ran up to the booth to tell them the good news right after the match.

The bad luck with Euro UFA's may have ended...I though Engqvist looked good - great pass on White's goal. Not sure if he beat out Halpern for the fourth line spot but he's a legitimate option.

Screw White! Look at Maxwell! Seriously though, Maxwell was way too underrated by Pierre and Benoit. Anytime Desharnais made a play, he'd get loads of praise and when Maxwell took a huge hit to make a play which caused White to score, all they said was: Maxwell needs to keep taking hits to make plays if he wants to earn a spot... Greta game by the habs though. Price sucked during the 3rd period! He barely made any saves!

Eller with 3 first assists. Not bad. Was he playing center? Anywhere to see the goals?

he played a quiet game, but came out with 3 assists. He played wing and looked a bit uncomfortable, but still did a good job. give it an hour or two, rds.ca will have the highlights.

No, he was playing RW with Cammalleri and Pleks. I'm sure highlights will be up on RDS before long.

Dumont showed some guts taking him on.

He is a high spirited player. Love the way he plays. Hope he develops into a good NHLer for us in a few years.

Hope he makes the team this year. We need players with his kind of grit that have some skill as well.

Looking good Mr. White.

Am I the only one who was impressed by Alex Henry tonight? He played a solid defensive physical game, while Subban was allowed to roam around, it was just fun to watch. Didn't those two play on the same line in Hamilton?

Loved the segment where Moen and White fought alongside Haha!
I agree about White but I didn't really like that Moen pickin his spot versus an 18 year old rookie. He even hit him while lineman was holding Gudbranson, pretty retarded for a veteran. However if he brings some more agression this year versus actual NHL player than it could be nice.

He still did the little things right, for a coach like Martin I'm sure he appreciates that aspect of his game. The only thing that off is that he takes time to get his shot off(which is what St.Louis fans mentioned just after the trade), but his hockey iq is pretty high. He sees the ice very well, the last goal by Cammy, though it was an off pass, Eller identified that opening. He also is very strong on the boards which is a huge plus on for our team. His defensive awarness is very very good for a player his age with such little experience.

I think his quietness has more to do with him playing the wing as you mentioned, he's normally a feisty player, he probably focuses less on that aspect of his game to make sure he did the other things right considering he's not a natural winger and it does take time adjust your game.

I don't think it will take long for him to be a fan fav.

Moen picked him out? From where I was sitting it looked like he just went with who he ended up tied up with.

No they didn't im sure there was time when they got stuck playing but Henry was injured for a good chunk of last year, and Subban's line pairings were with Shawn Belle(edm) and Fredrick St.Denis(ham)

White & Pyatt on the same PK unit would be deadly.

I agree that he was impressive. He's not exactly the fastest guy on the ice, but he positions himself pretty well and he's intimidating as hell and he'll stand up for his teammates. Any time there's something going on he rushes in full speed to beat someone up.

Did you guys notice how quick everyone was to jump in and protect their teammates? That was something we lacked last season and I'm hoping will change this season.
