Damn right sour grapes, Flame gets a stick in the face, no call, Lecavalier gets a little hook and he is flailing away, draws penalty. You would think that in the Stanley cup playoffs your 1st instinct would be to keep skating instead of flopping like a jackfish on the ice !!!!!!!! GO FLAMES !!!!!!!!
Regehr and Donovan won't play tonight according the nhl.com.
The writer of that article never said he won't play, only quoting Sutter saying on Sunday that he "probably" won't play. For some reason, the nhl.com's headline writer decided that was enough for him (or her) and created a definitive headline.
Irresponsible journalism. But we haven't had a shortage of that this spring, have we?
Before all hell breaks lose on this thread, a sincere thanks to the Flames and Lightning for one superb, compelling Finals.
Fan of neither, but frankly, neither team deserves to be considered a "loser" after tonight, whatsoever. Nor do their accomplishments this season and, especially, this spring need to be minimized in any way whatsoever by guttersnipes declaring them as "flukes" or "lucky", etc.
They are what they are: two gutty and talented teams who have earned the title of Stanley Cup Finalists, no small feat, ever. Regardless if it is for one season or for the first of many.
It's the toughest trophy to win in all of sports, and watching them give their all to achieve it has been this fan's pleasure.
After tonight, the players and coaches should all rest well. They've earned it.
