Vladimir Denisov has surprisingly signed a contract in Switzerland with my favorite team Ambri-Piotta. What can you tell me about him? Strengths, weakness?

relatively good stats in the KHL and a fixture in the national team. Does anyone know why he has not renewed in Russia, I think he could earn much more in Russia and he would easily find a new club?

Denisov had offers from the KHL, but wasn't guaranteed the playing time without Russian passport. The Swiss thing is temporary, as it seems. He has applied for Russian citizenship and is waiting for his Russian passport to be done. Same as Kostiuchenok who also has Russian passport, but represents Belarus internationally.
