Slim. I mean, even the Blackhawks brought back Savard a couple years ago only to fire him a week later.

Was that a shot or no?

I'm really liking the Nystrom-Madden-Clutterbuck line.

I think "half wall" will be Terhaar's new phrase this year.

Which is fine with me if he cuts down on the "change on the fly" every 30 seconds or so...

Swedish defenseman who is supposed to be one of the contenders for the #1 pick this year.
He's a defensemen? I thought he was a forward.

At this stage, if it weren't for Granlund looking like a stud, I almost wish we would've taken one of those top 5 D-men that slipped so far in the draft...

Y'know, I've been a Leafs for years and years, then I've also closely followed Havlat's career. When he first got to Chicago, I would joke about having a Futility East and Futility West team. Couldn't watch much hockey last year due to personal issues. This preseason... Man, I don't know if I can cope anymore, lol.

Why does Mittens stand in front of the net when he can't pick up the puck or screen Mason?

He even threw in a slot reference. Someone read a hockey book over the summer!

He's a defenseman and Sean Couturier (the other person who might be #1) is a forward.

I thought it was "carom" last year.

Ya, let's just keep kicking those rebound right into that slot. That'll teach 'em.

Also, if Richards keeps playing Wellman with Staubitz and Brodziak all game I'm going to take away his job myself.

I still think it's way too early to be pegging a #1 pick, guys pop out of nowhere.

Ah, I had them mixed up. I thought Couturier was the defensemen.

Shows how much attention I pay... Though to be fair, if I don't pay attention now, I'll actually have something to do next summer.

This is Hockey's Future - there are people debating the 2013 and 2014 draft classes on this forum.

Hey, I've said it all along. If we don't make the playoffs, I want that #1 pick. Ship out Brunette, Burns, Schultz, get backstrom to waive the NTC, trade him.

Get as many assets as possible and compete in two years. If we miss the playoffs and get 10 pick we'll be stuck in this perpetual just-good-enough-to-make-playoffs-but-never-winning-a-series motion.

Hey a PP!

Over/Under on 20 secs of total possession in the offensive zone?

Havlat's doing a good job being his own line.

Our D-men are just standing around like they're confused and wish someone would tell them what to do.

The Powerplay is pretty disjointed, too.

Pretty decent, I'd say, considering the apparent level of communication between him and the team.

...Oh, you meant on purpose? Nah, he's from Minnesota, so his job's safe.

Man, Wellman is working harder than the rest of the Wild lineup put together.

It's plain as day that he DOES NOT want to go to Houston.

I like how the announcers were discussing Brodziak working hard when he basically just sat there until realizing the puck was next to him.
