...and there goes the best shootout specialist to ever play in the NHL. He was a solid player. Good luck to him in the KHL.

Too bad he's gone. To me one of the most underappreciated players of his era... he was always a good player and as someone already mentioned... what a great player in the shoot out

seems like the KHL is all about getting old NHLers that the league doesnt have room for anymore. Its a youth movement in the NHL and a old movement in the KHL

Always liked this guy, a truly under-rated player. Best of luck to him in the KHL.

Kozlov had some very good seasons in Atlanta, but he was a big reason why there was division in the lockerroom (big tensions with Savard and Holik for example) and why Kovalchuk continued to cherry pick and not play team D. Kovy and Kozlov were a team unto themselves with their own clique in Atlanta: in the last year it was Kovy, Kozlov, Bogosian, Afinogenov, and to a lesser degree Antropov who kept to themselves. Now thankfully Bogosian is hanging out with Kane Enstrom and Ben Eager (they're buds now for some reason!)

John Anderson pretty much caused him to love the franchise and then hate it in a one-season period.

Not a surprise. I guess that's it for Kozlov and North American hockey then.

So ends an era. I miss those days! It was such a great time for hockey.

Wait, Bogosian was hanging around with the russian gang? Why that? Does he speak russian because of the armenian heritage?

THIS......thought he was running the team instead of the coaching staff. Caused a ton of problems in the room with his childish pouting last year.

As poorly as the Thrashers have been managed and coached to this point, maybe he was right.

ding ding ding!

Slava Kozlov was a proven professional that knew how to win at this level... John Anderson was a big, sheepish goofball that couldn't deal with NHL egos.

So long Kozzy, you'll always be a legend.

Oh come on! Plenty of other people, most of whom aren't even hockey players, would categorize their time in Buffalo as the worst time of their lives. Why get angry at Kozlov when he says it?

Slava made the comment last year that he didn't believe in running 4 lines he thought the top 2 should carry the load. Not saying Anderson wasn't an idiot just sayin slava wasn't right either.

was Kozlov even playing top 6 last year?

Kinda weird thing to say if he wasn't. Who the hell asks for less icetime?

It's a shame what the organization did to him last year. One of my favorite Thrashers of all time. Good luck in that mickey mouse league Slava, all the best.
