I don't know if it is out of the realm of possibility but why doesn't Carlyle pair Sbisa with Fowler as a third pairing. He can control the minutes and protect the two kids better than if he played them on the top 4.

Vishnovsky Sutton
Mara Brookbank
Fowler Sbisa

Eh Brookbank should stay on the bottom pairing. If we are trying to get Fowler down maybe put Sbisa up until Lydman is ready.

Lubo-Sbisa
Sutton-Fowler
Mara-Brookbank

If Festerling and Syvret are optioned back to Syracuse, what does that do to the icetime of Clark, Mitera and Newton ?

Hopefully Murray can package one or both of them in separate moves during the coming weeks, even if only for low draft picks. I'd rather invest time to develop the 3 younger dmen at Syracuse.

Lupul

Is Lupul going to I.R. before the season starts?

I have a feeling a defenseman will get loaned to another AHL team. Most likely someone not expected to get called up this season.

Yes. He'll be lucky to get game time before January.

Wasn't Lupul just cleared to start skating? He'll probably start the season on IR, but he should be able to start playing in November or December.

Edit: nope it was just to work out. So yeah, maybe January.

I seem to remember him twittering about being cleared skate. I may be wrong though

Seeing as how Fowler would benefit from playing with a veteran and Lubo isn't the right guy...would it be a bad call to put him with Mara? Mara's been around and can definitely protect him out there. Just a thought...

Tonight Fowler was paired with Mara, Lubo with Sutton and Sbisa with Brookbank.
