With Letestu seemingly playing his way onto the Pens NHL roster, Tangradi's play with Malkin and Comrie and all the heavyweights necessitating keeping Godard, Tyler Kennedy has found himself on the bubble.
He's young, affordable and has upside...wondering what he'd fetch from other teams if Shero were to shop him
No Clue really, it depends how Letestu does and how the Malkin line looks without him, If the Malkin line is clicking without him then he'll probably come back on the 3rd line playing with Cooke and Asham/Kennedy. If the Malkin line isn't look particularly special then he might centre Malkin and probably Comrie.

never said NHLer haha most of their young guys are still trying to get in. other than maybe Cumiskey. But Cohen, Shattenkirk etc
I'd listen to offers involving all 3 of those guys. I watched Cohen and Shattenkirk a ton with BU, but don't know much about Cumiskey...my impression is that he's kind of similar to Goligoski?
The signing of another 3rd liner in Asham along with the development of Tangradi and Letestu have made Kennedy expendable. Those new guys take up roster spots and somebodies going to have to go. Kennedy seems like the odd man out right now.
Shero will try to get something for him. I don't think you want to just give away a cheap 3rd liner that is pretty good when healthy. He's still RFA after next season which is nice also.
Pens will be looking for a cheaper bottom paring D-Man or a mid-late round draft pick. I'm not sure they'll get either. If that happens, Shero will have to either waive him or maybe keep 1 more guy than usual on the NHL roster. He usually keeps 22 and seems to hate the idea of 23, but he may have to do that if he doesn't get a decent offer for Kennedy.

I'm going out on a limb and saying something nice like Ashton + 1st.
If Shero can't get that, there must be other forces at play, stopping it from happening.

At first I was like
Then I was like
I think Shero would love to get a young defenceman from the Avs or anyone else. If you want proof of his stacked blueline obsession you only need to look at his time in Ottawa and Nashville.
I'd be thrilled if he pulled off a second rounder. Realistically I think a late 3rd would do it.

This. The young blueliner from Colorado, who is pretty deep there, is a great idea.
