Kostityn will have a good year, he played a good game except for some sloppy play in the 1st, but he play a good game even if he played with almost all the forward tonight exception of Gomez,Pouliot and Gionta.

Pouliot played a good game,Gomez and Gionta didn't played well, our defense was AHL caliber and they played like AHL d-men.

Pyatt showed why he will make the team but White look good tonight too,

another one who will have a good season this year is Lapierre and now he can fight lol

I wanted to see Kostitsyn-Gomez-Gionta but I think Pouliot will start with them now, I really think Kost-Plek-Cam can click again

We need Markov and a shot on the PP,badly

Very disappointing.

Let's hope the "big guy starts slow" thing applies here.

If Price stumbles, I can see the season being very long. Auld has really not impressed me so far..

What? Eller bad? Spacek, I know he's not been great in this training camp, but BAD? Boyd bad?

Even Andrei, how can anyone say he was bad tonight?

They're such the clowns. Picard was one of the worst d-men out there.

Hmmm....

I wonder if where the players were born might have anything to do with this.

I wasn't too impressed with Auld after the first game. I didn't have a problem with him tonight, even though he gave up 5 goals. Saying that, I wouldn't be too comfortable if he became more than a backup for us.

Yep. Auld said it on the Post-Game locker room interviews. CKAC normally replays the LockerRoom interviews at like 11-30'ish if you want to hear it for yourself.

He play deep in his crease. he dont look like a 6'4 goalie.

For me, the pre season is about watching the unproven players and their battle to leave a good impression

With most of the unproven guys already cut, and no real surprises coming out of camp, there's really nothing left to see or worth evaluating until october 7th.

I dont know what either team can take out of this game other than getting another tune up under their belt.

Loved McGuire making a big deal every time Eller made a mistake then saying he should be in the AHL to start the season.

Making mistakes? Really? The guy was first on the forecheck, and first to backcheck. He's awesome.

I have to agree with what they're saying about him on Antichambre. Besides being big, he doesn't do anything very well. He doesn't hit alot, his positioning isn't consistently good, and he's not that fast.

I noticed that, is that how he normally plays? I thought he might have been doing that since he's not quite comfortable with the defense yet.

Anti-Chambre actually just made a good point... Subban needs to be centered on the blueline on the PP if his shot is going to work.

First of all, he didnt rag on eller for making mistakes. Second of all, he complimented eller for what he will bring IN THE FUTURE. I know Eller is getting alot of rave reviews around here, but I think he needs to adapt to how quickly decisions are made at this level. He will get there eventually but lets not fool ourselves, he's still a little rough around the edges, which is perfectly normal for a guy his age.

That said, Buffalo's veterans looked way more prepared to play than ours. I hope that Martin's makes all the cuts before Saturday's game so that we see the full squad gets a least one game under their belts. We need to go into the season with a bit more confidence.
