Cuts tomorrow (I hope): Eminger, White.

I think Zukes is talented enough, particularly checking/back-checking, to warrant a 2nd look.

Valentenko probably isn't ready, yet.

Kennedy has to go through waivers to be put down in the A, a team will definitely pick him up. With no prospal and no drury for a bit, he's not going anywhere for the foreseeable future.

I dont know what you have to base that on. He has been very strong. He has not really shown any weakness this preseason. He has definitely made a case for himself to make the team.

Todd White reaping the benefits of other people's work again.

Last time Dubinsky set him up perfectly.

This time Fedotenko sets him up, and Leclaire screws up.

How do you cut a guy who scores 2 goals in the final pre-season game.

This is funny.

I really don't think there is anything to worry about, his cap hit and the fact that he hasn't really shown anything indicates he'll be gone tomorrow.

This is just deju vu of last year. The forecheck is very effective in the beginning of the year. It was the same reason the Rangers had a hot start/caught teams unprepared last year.

While some Ranger fans clamored to "Bring back the forecheck that allowed us to win...!!!" What really happens is opposing coaches figure it out, and work on breakouts and the opposing defense gets up to speed from their summer hiatus. It's equivalent to running an all out blitz on every down in the NFL. As soon as you learn that's what the gameplan is, teams adjust.

The Rangers' success this year will hinge on transitioning to the offensive zone. If the Rangers can gain the puck in the defensive/neutral zone and successfully move the puck up ice, that will be a HUGE improvement from last year.

I don't think he's miles away or anything. I just don't think he's ahead of Sauer, MDZ, McD, Staal, Girardi, Roszival or Gilroy. I don't think he should play limited minutes and be a 7th either.

And, I don't care how many goals White scores tonight. He shouldn't make this squad.

To be fair, both of White's goals were set up by really good plays.

Fedetenko was relentless on stealing the puck from Leclaire and Dubinsky hooked White up with a nice pass when he had room.
