At first when I read that, I read it as, "Holy ****, 17 goals in 7 games. Call this little ****er up pronto.". Then I read it again and thought, "Duh, I'm a ****ing ratard."

How's he handling the physical play of the Pro game? Does he take a lot of punishment like Moller?

It appears that way. From what I can tell the lines have been:

Moller-Loktionov-Cliche
King-Azevedo-Holloway
Kaunisto-Elkins-Kozun
Nolan-Zeiler-Clune

Campbell-Voynov
Muzzin-Teubert
Hickey-Kolomatis

Jones-Zatkoff

Meckler, Mullen and Justin Johnson were scratches.

I'm pretty sure Moller has been on the right wing.

I was at the game on sunday in Bridgeport. Loktionov and Cliche seemed to juggling back and forth between center and left wing all night.

I'm pretty sure Bid Holloway plays on the left side. Can someone confirm?

He does. But lately Kozun has been working harder on being the 'hitter' as opposed to the 'hittee' in the corners, IMO.
The fun thing to see is when it takes the bigger opponent by surprise and knocks 'em off balance.

Kozun is small, but if he 'toughens' up his game he might make it like Gerbe and Ennis have done in Buffalo.

he's been on a line w/ D. King - J. Azevedo - B. Holloway

King plays the Left side, Aze centers, and Bud takes Rightie

Loktionov being sent back down mixes it up again, but the lines have been fairly consistant of late ...

Moller-Cliche-Nolan
King-Azevedo-Holloway
Meckler-Zeiler-Clune
Kozun-Elkins-Kaunisto/Johnson

Campbell-Voynov
Muzzin-Teubert
Hickey-Kolomatis/Mullen

Jones-Zatkoff

Kozun's starting to adapt to the game, he's doing a lot more physical play and a lot less using his stick which was getting him into trouble with hooking/tripping penalties earlier in the season (and in Morris' doghouse). That being said, he's going to need a season or two with the Monarchs as he gets a little more solid, but when he does get that stronger frame he's going to be that much better of an all-around player.

In the Feb 13 game, I was waiting for him to get on the ice with a possible shot at the empty net for the hat-trick but he was glued to the bench for the final 5 minutes of the game. As one of the youngest players on the team, he's going to earn more and more ice time as he keeps on progressing. Maybe by next year, he'll see some PK time in Manchester.

Glad to hear Kozun is working on his game. I have high hopes for him.

As for Moller, if he's been playing LW then I'd love to see him get a shot on Kopitar's wing ASAP. Everyone else has, and unlike Strum, at least OM is in game shape.

Loktionov likely done for season
Friday February 25th 2011, 10:23 pm

The initial report on Andrei Loktionov’s injury is not good. Manchester Monarchs coach Mark Morris said after the game that he thought Loktionov was done for the season. The injury appeared to be to his wrist with the way Loktionov left the ice, but there was some speculation based on the play (a hit along the boards) that it could have been a re-aggrevation of the shoulder injury that forced him to miss time at the start of last season.
No link, but this was posted on Hammond's blog.

Sucks. Injury prone label yet?
