The Monarchs will travel to Worcester, Massachusetts on Sunday, February 27 to face-off against the Worcester Sharks at the DCU Center in a 3:00 p.m. EST contest.

Want to ask the people that watch Manchester about Justin Azevedo. Do you guys think he will be a career AHL person?

Seen him play a handful of games this year and he stands the potential to move up, but until now he's never played a full season due to injuries. It's been hard to get a good read on how good he could be or if he could stand up to the rigors of playing in the NHL. However good he is, based on his size Azevedo is going to have to be twice as good because of his size.

If I was betting on it, I think he's going to get a few call-ups in his career but will not make it as a regular NHL-er and will definitely play more in the AHL.

Monarchs up 2-0 and it sounds like Campbell just won a fight.

2 for 3 on the PP. Who runs the PP in Manchester? Maybe we can send Kompon to Manchester and call up their coach.

Holloway and Kozun with the goals. Could either of them be called up?

[edit] Another PP goal for Holloway makes it 3-0 Monarchs. PP is now 3 of 4.

[edit again]Azevedo with the 4th Monarchs goal, from Holloway. 3 points for Holloway tonight. Isn't he a LW?

That's 2 goals for Kozun tonight, he's 1 goal away from a 20-goal season, not bad for a 5'8" rookie eh?

Kozun is living up to my expectations so far and I still say that he has NHL written all over him.

He has at least two fans on these boards that are Kings fans that I know of and that's a good start.

They were ready for us. Finding consistency with our execution is something which needs attention right now. This was a fast-paced game; similar to playoff hockey. Teams are ramping up their intensity and we have to get ourselves in that mindset. We looked a bit tired. Quick decision making has to be a priority."

Notables : The Sharks snapped the Monarchs three-game winning streak … Manchester failed to converted on the power play for the first time in five games … Goaltender Martin Jones took his first regulation loss since February 11 … Center Corey Elkins recorded his third multi-goal game of the season … Elkins picked up two tallies against the Sharks on December 10, 2010 and two goals against Charlotte on January 13, 2011.

The Monarchs will travel back to Worcester, Massachusetts on Friday, March 4th for a re-match against the Worcester Sharks at the DCU Center, gametime 4:30 p.m. PST/7:30 p.m. PST.

The Kings' development program seems to be firing on all cylinders at the moment. Scary what may be if AEG just lets nature take its course and doesn't do something stupid.

I wish Holloway would get a sniff, he has a eye for the back of the net, put up front with Kopi and stick him on the pp, he would score. Been scoring the last 2 years.

Holloway gets too little attention IMO, and some don't even think he's an NHL capable talent, but his game has always reminded me of someone like Eric Belanger, and he's put himself together a nice career in the NHL for someone who also might not have ever been given much of a chance by these same said 'fans'.

Oh well ... Kings will ship him off or not resign him, and he'll be our next Moulson/Purcell/Steckel/etc. it's a shame.

I'd also like to see Bud get a shot.

You can say what you want about his game/upside/skillset, but you never know until you actually give the guy a chance. It's not like scouts have never been wrong before.

He's paid his dues.

Holloway > King

By the way pucku, your absolutely this teams mvp for doing so much hard work on your gdts and then the post game follow ups as well. Your work is easily the best at HF and we are really lucky to have you without a doubt. If there was an actual tip jar I would put cash in it just for the effort if not the insight as well.

Thanks ... but it's nothing any passionate Kings fan for 30+ years that has NO LIFE wouldn't do for his team

Just don't forget to keep posting in that Draft pick thread, as your effort & insight is also greatly appreciated around here my friend and that's payment enough.
P.S. - Hope you're feeling better btw, I'm guessing from the volume of recent posts you are ?

I am actually on the road working on it as we speak and I am getting off cheap.

Oh and thanks yes I have been my grumpy wandering self for over a week and a half now. I guess I am getting older after all. I might have to look into a flu shot next year.
