Great thread.
Phil Lane with 3 goals in 3 games. Great start. We need players with his size and if he can bring a legitimate scoring touch then even better.

Gormley played his first game tonight and played real well. Had a goal and an assist along with numerous solid defensive plays. He played with an edge I haven't seen him play with often but that lead to a few penalties. It's still great to see him hungry like that though.
Tonmorrow afternoon he'll play vs. Domingue.

Domingue over Gormley - at least on the scoreboard.
Judging by the boxscore, Gormley might well have hadt he better game.

Team Captain Jordan Schwarz is really having a good start for Saginaw.
6 gp 3g 4a and a ridiculous team leading +6
http://www.ontariohockeyleague.com/a...ern-conference
Saturday's win against the Greyhounds started with a pair of early goals by Saginaw's top line of Ivan Telegin along with captain Jordan Szwarz and Michael Sgarbossa.
“It was good to get a good start,” Szwarz said. “It’s always good to get a goal in the first shift to get your team going.
Playing again tonite.

Gormley was held scoreless in a 6-2 loss but somehow ended up with a +2 on the night.

Domingue was credited with the win tonight and he played a total of... 0 min.
He replaced the starting goaltender for the shootout and Quebec won so he got the win.

Moncton's starting tender had a tough night -5 shots 5 goals before he got the hook.
I wonder if that's a misprint?

It is.
Saint John had a total of 33 shots but when you look at the goalies stats there are only 11 shots.

Gormley played great again last night. Had a goal and he also had the winning goal in the shootout on a nice move to roof it.

Maloney told me the guy has Yandle upside. That's how highly they think of him. These where Yandle's stats in his draft year. Keep in mind he got drafted the year after his eligibility.
2005-2006 Moncton Wildcats-QMJHL 66 25 59 84 50 109 15 0 3
Those are some big numbers, a ppg and I would be very happy.

3G 7A +3 for Gorms through 5 games.
Really making it look easy out there!
Also seems to be playing with an edge, something we haven't really seen of him before.

I was just gonna ask if anyone knows what happened to him. He hasn't been playing and one of the team writeups refers to the back up "filling in" for Visentin.
Anybody know if he's hurt or what the deal is?

I read something about a groin pull. He could be ok for the weekend but the second goaltender is doing good so they can be patient with Visentin.

I'm expecting big things from Brown this year. Bummed I don't have all the Fox Sports channels, this season. This kid is going to be such a bull.

So the Wranglers just announced their roster without Scott Darling on it. Wonder what his next move will be.

I see Blair Riley is on the roster in the drop down menu on the LV site.
Kinda strange how the PR mentions Fallon, Long and Ross were reassigned but Ross and Long are not in the roster presented in the PR.

Phil Lane is hurt as well - the Ontario boys are having a rough start to the year with the exception of Szwarz.

Is there something wrong with Brown?
He's only got 1 assist and 0 goals through 5 games.
I was hopeful that this was going to be a breakout year for him.
