Source is Eklund.
Pete Tessier our Hockey Buzz writer disagrees with Ek's thoughts on it.
Personally I doubt Bieks can be moved, between the playoffs n preseason his performance has been lackluster at best.

I don't think anyone knows their value, either as a package or individually. Speculation has ranged from them both being worthless (as trade bait) to each getting fairly substantial return.

Cory won't be traded until at least this trade deadline so the only one making up those rumors now = either Eklund or you. Either that or you're reading into rumors @ the draft.

Bieksa won't likely be dealt anymore given SOB has been waived and has cleared. If Bieksa gets moved, our "depth" will be a lot less at this point. He won't likely be traded until Salo is deemed healthy enough to play... which probably will be near the deadline.

Basically your rumors are either 3 months too late or 4 months too early.

Dont think Cory is traded till the draft....they want him winning games while they rest Luo more often 20-25gms.....good 1-2 punch if needed for long playoff run.

Schneider won't be traded because half way through the season Canuck management will realize he's better than Luongo.

This could happen. especially if Luongo's injury is worsened somehow. How? Any rehab can have setbacks and a previously injured hamstring can deteriorate.

I think the hamstring thing Luongo has is the single most worrisome issue facing the team. They know it, too.

I doubt any players are going to be moved before a need arises due to injury or the trade deadline arrives. Who can go?

Neither of them are being moved any time soon.

Schneider will be our backup this season, and Bieksa will be playing while Salo is injured.

Schneider's not going anywhere at least until the market for goalies comes back up. Bieksa on the other hand...

Bieska isn't going anywhere until the market for Bieska goes up.

The Canucks are going to give Bieksa every chance possible to succeed trying to drive his market value up, things like starting him on the 1st pairing with Hamsius, giving him PP time to pad his stats and I predict signing him to a cap friendly extension, then and only then do they decide whether or not they're going to deal him

He's playing with Hamhuis, so it'll be the Mitchell effect part 2 and he either DOES AMAZINGLY and wins the Norris (lol) or he has awesome return at the deadline and we move him for a rental year of Chara or Weber.
