If this warrants two games, than the league finally decided to be extra strict.

head shot ? Come on, it was just a love tap. Cammaleri just lost his cool for no reason and deserves at least 2 games.

Definitely deserves 2 games. Pretty despicable and childish

No suspension, it's just pre-season.

But seriously, suspension is way too much. Cammalleri received the extra punishment for his actions and Nino only has a bruise. Some people are making it out to look like Cammalleri went McSorley on his ass.

If the hit connected, Cammy could get a concussion. Cammy went overboard with his slash but he had every reason to be upset.

Like I said in the GDT...

Ryan White I'm sure would have been more then happy to go out there and deal with the kid, Cammy is too important to go out and pull **** like that... Even though I appreciate the intensity. We need him for 82 games.

So somebody went back in time to tell the Habs about tonight so Cammalleri would not have a full-time A or C?

He will probably get one game because he's a star and it's a first offense, but that was dumb and dangerous.

realy ?

Can you guys please stop quoting Tray4Adams. I don't know who that tard is, but he's getting on my nerves.

As for the ridiculous "that's why he's not captain" quote, get the **** out. People saying how they lost respect for Cammalleri should just get the hell out and cheer for another team. He's our star goalscorer.

Just because Cammalleri didn't make contact with his face doesn't mean it's not legit enough for a suspension. What a clown, he can't take that a 18 year old nearly sat him on his ass with a solid shoulder check so he follows him around the ice, slashes him once, than attempts to slash him in his face and than slashes him on his ankle LOL Just a stupid stupid move.

Anyone else happy Cammalleri acted that way? He buzzed around Nino like an angry bird and don't laugh. An angry bird is ****ing scary.

I guess it's a whole other story when the guy calls one of your prospects a terrorist, however...

As for Cammalleri, I would have done the same thing. I say the darding was a little too much, but even then... The guy hit him in the face, after having tried to hit him blind-sided.

Hell... some even saw Niederreiter spit on Cammy.

Of course, a suspension to Cammalleri benefits them greatly for opening night so of course they will defend Nino.

Little do they know, Cammalleri has yet to score against the Maple Leafs in his entire career (it's true, look it up).

It's win-win for us if Cammalleri is suspended, if we beat the Leafs without him we laugh at them for beating them without our best D-man and our best Forward.. If we lose, well we didn't have our best D-man or our best Forward. I call that playing the 67 theory.

And just because Niederreiter's attempted hit didn't connect with Cammalleri's head doesn't make it less dangerous.

And what does his age have to do with anything? Oh, you can try to take my head off in a hockey game, I won't react because you're 18 years old ,drafted 5th overall this year and I look this **** up before each game. You're in the big guy's league, don't expect them to take it easy on you when you start **** up.

Hopefully the league takes into consideration that Nino is not innocent in this incident and the proper disciplined is handed out. I would likely have a meeting with Nino to try and explain to him he needs to watch out or he'll face discipline in the future, and perhaps have a meeting with Cammy and give him a fine.

I would have lost my **** too in that situation.

We see that kind of slash at least 10 times in a season, Cammalleri won't be suspend if Nino is not hurt

He slashed him and Neiderreiter dove. Dumb play, but it's laughable to be considered a suspension.

He deserves 1 game not for the slash but for the intential hight stick to the neck/face (even if he missed his target) it clearly was an attempted spear to the face
