I put in the NHL sticky, too, but we can use this as a pre-game discussion.

Anyway, some background info:

Flyers coach Peter Laviolette planned the practice out in advance but did not release the information ahead of time, so his team could skate in the park on a chilly Saturday without much hoopla and fanfare.

There are two rinks at Central Park - one for public skating and one for hockey - but both offer picturesque views of the Manhattan skyline. The Flyers practiced at Lasker Rink, which is converted into a public swimming pool in the summer when not used for skating from October through March.

Also, Lundqvist is the starting goalie tonight. No word if he or Gaston is the Rangers' starter tomorrow.

What happened to Biron? Thought he was doing well for them.

Pretty cool that they held this open air practice. Must have been nice for the players and staff.

I'm so angry. I was gonna go hang out in Central Park today on a whim but didn't. I COULD HAVE BEEN THERE.

That said, this is awesome.
