anybody wanna take a guess at what Sather has been looking at in that crystal ball of his in regards to what decent players hit the waiver wire if brooksie's sources are correct in saying that no trade talks are going on...???
DrurysWeekend - redo a shot of Grachev with that background and I WILL put it as my avatar.
Not sure how good it will look sized down, but here ya go.

what about dale weise being recalled to be the spare forward?
My guess is that Kennedy and White do not get re-assigned to Hartford if they clear waivers. Assuming we stand pat going into Wed night, they will both be on the team until Drury returns. If someone gets claimed, they get claimed and so be it... I'm not going to worry about the 13th forward with our logjam. I would bet that we don't replace either guy unless there is an injury and Tortorella goes with those 12 until guys come off IR.

There are comments from Tortorella on RangerRants (Andrew Gross' blog) saying the exact same thing--if they clear waivers they are not going to be assigned to Hartford at this point. The Rangers are under the cap right now, so they don't have to make a decision until Drury is cleared to play.
Right now, the only Flames D-men that actually interest me are Ian White or Mark Giordano. Both bring offensive prowess at a semi-cheap cost and bring veteran leadership.
I used to be interested in Bouwmeester but not as much anymore, especially given his $5 mill cap hit.

??? seriously?
I would love to have bouwmeester on the team hes just like staal, how would that not be good for our blueline? other than bouwmeester i would LOVE to have reghier.. i dont think we need alot of blueline offensive help, id rather shore up the physical defensive side and both those players would do that
He was pretty much our best player down the stretch and scored more than half a point a game last year.....if he had played the full season with us he would've been our second or third highest scorer....
Seems pretty important to me, especially for a team that cant score to save its a.s.s
If Christ was a Ranger draftee who went up the system, he'd be close to untouchable in most people's mind right now.

Kennedy's a decent player and very young but I see his upside as limited plus he's not from the Rangers system so no real risk in losing him.
The problem is with getting another D man then what do they do with Sauer unless they include either Rozi or Gilroy in some mega deal but that makes no sense given Rozi's salary, the orginization's faith in Gilroy, and not having a backup for Sauer who must prove he's over the injury bug. The other three DMen (Staal, Girardi, Del Z) plus McD, V-Tank, Pashnian, and McLirath aren't going anywhere.

I know you're probably just trying to be funny, but it's untrue. He's almost 27 and has never put up more than 33 points in any season. No teams fans are that patient. We probably would have given up on him pretty quickly

Torts is trying to get the fullest out of another reclamation project; he did it with St. Louis in Tampa.
EC has first line skills at times. Sometimes guys like St. Louis or Mikael Samuelson, it takes them until their late 20s to become consistent..if he can become half of those guys.......
