Yes its possible but you have to pay tax and/or import fees which will likely be more than $4000

I saw that a while ago. What a gorgeous move. I can only think of Datsyuk or Malkin on his best day pulling off something like this. Bring this kid over here.

PS. I miss beautiful Mont St Hilaire!

Even though I agree, it's not like he's playing on a powerhouse team either.

Eliezer's father and brother are clients at the accounting office I work at so I always kind of keep tabs on his playing career (dirty goal, BTW). His dad mentioned that some NHL teams are interested in him but to me it sounded like not much more than a father trying to build up his son. 5'7" and 15 points in the Q in your second year of draft eligibility isn't going to have too many GMs breaking down your door.

Great people though, definitely wish them the best.

Montreal is not viable for anything other than the Habs

Montreal is NOT Hockeytown, Montreal is Habs Country

The city breath, live and bleed Habs

I agree, we just lost another QMJHL team, the Junior, to Boisbriand.

I am really curious to see how the Impact will do in the MLS with a 20 000 capacity stadium. They always had ownership but Saputo can sell the team any minute and the franchise can be doomed. If MLS can survive here, 5-10 years down the road, I am pretty sure the NBA will try to expand throughout Canada. Good ownership is needed though. A lot of the NBA teams are losing money anyways. The Alouettes do fine because the team keeps on winning.

NBA players generally do not look to Canada as a desirable destination to play basketball. It puts them out of the mainstream media spotlight (which means less endorsements), and in a very cold climate. Add in the french factor and it just makes it worse.

Having said that, there is a new cba to be agreed upon and there should be some big changes in it. Lets see how that plays out and then talk about viable canadian markets.

The first game would probably be a sell-out crowd, due to all the hype of having the NBA in Montreal. After that, half empty arena.

I doubt it would work.

Wait to know the person first. There was a girl hanging out with the gang of my field of study and she was a really sweet girl, even after I learned she was a Leafs fan.
