Played a couple of very strong shifts and scored his second goal of the season early in the first period against Jokerit.

So...?

Why do you always have to downplay everyone except for Teemu Pulkkinen? (who's playing terrible atm BTW)

Typical Jokerit fan homerism.

Wasn't pretty from what I hear also, but the only thing that really matters is that he finally got it in the net.

Edit. Overall though he earned the goal today with all the effort. His goal ended up being the winning one in the 4-0 win.

Yesterday got bumped into the "first" line with Santavuori and Uusikartano again for a short period of time, but the theme for him was to pass and lack effort (though only a few had that in the 1-2 OT-loss).

Seemed calm about his situation in a recent story by Jatkoaika.com and has stayed positive even with the lack of personal success. But like he also said the team's success is more important than his.

Just noticed this, sorry.

Yes, has gotten time on the second unit atleast a bit.

I believe that Armia's problem is that he had way too high hopes for this season. He put himself the goal to score at least 25 times this season and after a few games he did not reach that goal, pot boiled over and this is the result. 2 goals only so far. Now we all know that he will not score 30+ goals this season, however it sure is a release for him that his team Ässät has been playing very well while his own game hasn't been so extraordinary.

And will continue on that line today against local rival Rauman Lukko.

Yeah didn't see him in the third and I'd hope he will be a healthy scratch tomorrow trying to get his head together.

Was just useless out there again. :/

Maybe a change of scenery could help? Barkov could use another scoring winger...

Right now, Armia is a below average FEL player. He looked absolutely terrible tonight, but then again he also got very little ice time.

He is a big body, but that's about it....

Wow, the two guys I wanted the Wild to draft (Armia and Murphy) both are kind of struggling. Although Brodin isn't putting up points, he's still looking like a better pick overall.

Yeah... has had a really hard time so far on the ice.

Today was the first time this season he got under 10 minutes of icetime (7.17). Managed to take two shots and a diving penalty.

wow. I have to admit I was pretty high with this prospect. I thought he should have been 8-12 pick. I really hope for the Buffalo fans sake he turns it around. Really looking like a complete bust right now.

yes I know it's early.

A cause for concern, sure, but "bust" gets thrown around way to frequently when talking about players, especially one who has played a dozen since being selected. Organizationally, they give people a lot of time -- hell, they're still working on rounding Dennis Persson into something five years after selecting him. They're certainly not going to turn him away due to a rough start now nor likely for some time.

I'm not worried yet. He's still VERY young. Not a bust by any stretch yet.

I think it's safe to to say he is going in the wrong direction. I am stunned. I thought he'd be a great scoring winger for Buffalo.
I also thought Minnesota would take him so look what I know

As a Minnesota fan, I did too a little bit. Seems to be a good choice, as of now, to pass on him for Brodin.

Oh yeah this guy.

Got the second assist on Ässät's first goal against Jokerit. Good shift from the line and Joel has had a few chances.
