Are we to assume they've all made the team?

We should find out today if they are sticking around. I would assume so, but you never know until it's official.

At least for opening day.
No one got #4. They are holding it open until Anaheim freezes over or we accept Blake and retire his number.

With Parse and Greene hurt, I think this group is going to get a bit of an audition to see if they can keep up and hang in the NHL. The Kings are at an advantageous position having two players on the roster that they can give a 9-game trial to before deciding on their fate. Should one or both struggle, they can be returned, their cap hit is gone and they have plenty of options at their disposal to call up.

Yep, pretty sure all of them made it for now. Why give out new jersey numbers to players who won't be with the team? That said they have to prove they deserve to stay, and if they do, it will be quite the conundrum when Parse and Greene come back. A great problem to have.

Jazzed about this news. This Saturday can't come soon enough.

I wonder if guys like parse and martinez regret not coming out sooner, like what quick did when he knew bernier was coming , where they would have a year or two to solidify a spot before these guys were potty trained

If they all made it (for now), then I wonder where Loktionov fits in the lineup?

I would think that Schenn and Loktionov will each get a game this weekend on the 4th line. Schenn versus Vancouver and Loktionov against Calgary?

Lewis maybe switches with Clifford for one of the games too? Murray did say that he doesn't want the extras sitting too much early in the season.

I figured Schenn would go to the number 10 he wore in junior. Anyone know if the 9 game stint is counted as 9 games played by the Kings OR 9 games played by the individual player?

Martinez has NHL talent. He will make it in time.

Who goes down when Parse comes back? I'd imagine that Muzzin would stay up and Drewiske or Harrold would be benched once Greene returns, right?

Why is it a given Parse automatically has a spot when he comes back?

Pretty sure Murray has said that guys don't lose their spot due to injury. Personally I would send Lewis down, but it will be Loktionov due to his waiver exempt status.

Yeah, but at the same time it's a lot different than it has been in the past. It's nice that now all the rookies coming in are slotted to play on the 4th line, bottom pair D, or back-up goaltender...rather than top line, top pair, or starting goal like what we saw with Kopitar, Doughty, Johnson, and Quick. It shows that we're getting younger, but deaper as well.

Yup, Murray said that about Williams when Simmonds was playing well on the first line in his spot. However, Murray's not going to rush to get Parse back in the line-up. He's going to wait until he's completely healthy and fit so as to both eliminate the readjustment period, and give the kids a longer look.

Murray is the type of coach who'll insert someone coming back from an injury right into the position they were in before getting hurt.. Seen that with Smyth, Simmonds and Williams last year

Gonna be weird seeing Lewis wear 22, definitely going to have to get used to it. Also, I personally don't really like 12 for Loktionov, he needs a solid, I liked 48 to be honest.. Or something like 71 hahaha and Kopitar should be 87 and Schenn could be 11.. Get it? Get it? Ugh, long night

His situation is similar to Moulson's. He was given a brief shot, didn't work out, and is being passed up on the depth chart.

AM probably won't get another contract from the Kings, he'll sign with another team, solidify himself in that teams' starting lineup, and everyone on this board will complain how DL let him go for nothing.

Given what we've seen with players returning from injuries in the past, I'd be stunned if Parse wasn't put right back into the 2nd line. Murray, and to some extent Lombardi, have shown that if a player earned a spot in their eyes, he has a right to it even if he does get injured. (ie. Smyth, Williams, Johnson)

Now if it was a long-term injury, things might be different, but from what we've heard Parse's injury won't keep him out for too long.
