Duchene and Landeskog?
Trading Anderson for Elliot was such an obvious tank job. Trading Liles for a measly draft pick while having no goalies signed for next season is another.

Unless the Rangers trade away Staal, Lundqvist, Gaborik, Dubinsky, Girardi, Callahan, Anisimov, Stepan and recieve nothing in return they are not turning into a lottery team. Not even close.

As much as I would love for him to be an Oiler, we're not going to be getting him. I highly doubt us getting the first overall pick, again. I think the Oilers will go with a D-men, someone like Murray or Reinhart because we already have enough wingers, unless of course we move up or win the lottery despite not finishing last I think Florida ends up with Yakupov.

wat

Colorado is pretty much in the same spot as the Oilers. They probably have as much young talent as the Oilers do and have "tanked" just as much.

That's the second time in the past few days i've seen some speculate the Rangers being a lottery team and i'm not really sure why. If Lundqvist suffers a major injury then sure I could see it but otherwise I see them finishing similar to last year or perhaps even better depending on what they do in the offseason. I will admit that picking who the bottom teams will be is not very easy this year.

both Yakupov and his teammate Alex Galchenyuk will go high in the draft. but yes Yakupov seems like a Patrick Kane kind of player.

I hope the Bruins somehow fail for Nail, he would be a beast with Seguin in a few years.

You want your team to go from Stanley Cup champs to lottery team in one season?

Agree on Oilers. Can never count Flames out if Kippur is on his game but I could definitely see them slipping. Florida will likely be down there too. I could also see a team like Dallas slipping down with the absence of Richards and because of how ridiculously strong the west conf is.

Depends on if we're healthy or not. I still see us finishing bottom 10, not sure about bottom 5. I highly doubt the rookies have a sophomore slump because they didn't get any sheltered minutes so hopefully we improve. If the Oilers however do end up with say the 2nd, I would be more then happy to select Grigorenko (assuming he wants to play in the NHL) . I just hope the Flames finish 9th.

Dallas will be too good to get him but man Yukpov or any of the top 4 would be fantastic to build around for our club. Gah such a pipe dream, but a really, really good one

The Oilers probably wouldn't have drafted in those spots had they been healthy. Their lineup was riddled with injuries the past two seasons. But honestly I'm expecting another bottom five finish.

Amazing that 4 out of the six most likely destinations for Nail will be Canadian teams
Edmonton
Calgary
Ottawa
Winnipeg
Dallas
Minnesota
